So it's essentially a hyped up music video tied in with a metallica concert.
Count me in
I can't tell if this is a shitty concert movie or a shitty Metallica themed movie.
I feel like it needs some explanation.
I think Metallica are trying to pull a "Pink Floyd - The Wall" style movie.

oh metallica, still trying to be culturally relevant even though everyone stopped giving a shit about them 10-15 years ago.

I like Metallica

Just because you dont listen to them doesnt make them "not relevant." Have you been to one of their concerts lately?
Granted their last "hit" album was from 1991
Is this a movie about a riot or a metallica concert video
what the fuck is going on
why is there a horse
what
????
Why does the kid remind me of a heroin addict?
Seriously this looks really shit and holy shit Metallica keeps sounding worse and worse every year.

I think the horse is to do with the Four Horsemen song that they made on their Kill 'em All album.

What about the flaming cop car and this weird kid who's causing a whole bunch of bullshit
I don't remember those songs

Probably St.Anger
I heard about this on the radio. Apparently they're incorporating all of the gimmicks they've used at their former concerts into this concert.
I have an idea! Why don't they stop all this shit and do a good album. How original.
Love there old stuff but after the Black album they really went downnnnhill.

Yeah it looks like some sort of feature length music video. Which seems pretty cool if you're a fan.

Could be for their DVD or something
i'm noticing a distinct lack of people who are also tables here

Load and Reload, in my opinion, were perfectly fine albums. I was a big fan of Death Magnetic as well, and I didn't see a problem in St. Anger.
With St. Anger, just don't listen to it with the mindset that you're listening to Metallica.
Death Magnetic, in my opinion, was a good album with a couple of really well done songs.
In one interview they had they said that the label company keeps pushing them to do all this stuff and concerts. They said that if they could get a couple months of free time they would make the next album.
I can't take Metallica as seriously as I used to after "I AM THE TABLE"

Hell, I cant take them seriously after the whole Lulu album.
This seems like some really pretentious shit, like what is it even supposed to be I don't even get it.
If Metallica ever got their shit together and made one last final badass thrash metal album on the same level of and justice for all I would be so happy but that is never happening.

A giant music video, essentially.
it's like someone wanted to make a riot (?) movie and slapped metallica into there to reinforce the rebellious! nature of the movie.
