Why did you decide to instal Windows 7?
mine was because I can record my own mic + the sound in the game with fraps in windows 7 and in windows xp I cant.

I still have XP and I have no problems with it. Upgrading seems like a chore right now, since I don't want to go through the mess of backing up ALL my data.
I didn't pick Windows 7, Windows 7 picked me.

you can choose to only remove xp and install 7, leaving the installed programs and whatnot
Before I went to school this morning I installed Windows 7. It litterly took 40 minutes.
Yes I lost all my old shit but who cares
or well, mine renamed the windows xp folder to windows_old and it was up to me to delete it, everything else was there

XP x86: Decent I guess, but old as fuck now and it shows
XP x64: Not even an option
Vista: Decent if you have enough RAM, but still not that good
The fact that there isn't another good OS plus that W7 is great pretty much sealed my day one buy.
Because it's good at finding fast threads.
New features, faster, a general better change overall.

I didn't, I'm still on XP.
It's just such a pain in the ass backing up important stuff and reinstalling everything else. Plus I don't really have any reason to switch, any games that require Windows 7 I can't run because computer is too outdated anyway.
