If it's okay with the mods, we can start this off as a megathread.
So much like the "Creative Work That Doesn't Deserve A Thread" threads, this thread can be used for film makers to post their videos, exchanging tutorials and tips, criticisms to crush the dreams of aspiring filmmakers, you get the drift.
So I've decided to give a little back to the Facepunch community by posting this self made tutorial on achieving a VHS-like effect for your films (which is surprisingly enough, the hardest kind of tutorial to find online). It's supposed to simulate a low-quality VHS recording (as opposed to damaged tape, which has stuff like color bleeding and warping). It may need more fine tuning, but as of right now, it's the best I can do. Feel free to drop in any suggestions.
Programs used: Audacity and Sony Vegas

You should be able to fart this out with any half decent video editing software incase you don't have vegas, since the effect was achieved using standard, common plugins. Be warned, a shitload of filters means a shitload of time.
ALWAYS HAVE VIDEO AT 4:3 @23 FPS (60FPS IS NOT VHS OR DVD STYLE AT ALL)ALWAYS TURN OFF LOCK ASPECT RATIO WHEN CROPPING
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO ADD LITTLE GLITCHES AND ODDITIES, OCCASIONAL CUTS, ETC.
NEAT THINGUMABOBS TO POSSIBLY ADD:
A counter timer (Timecode: add to seperate layer and subject it to the same layer effects. Use a transparent image for this to work (maybe))
Test screen with appropriate fonts and message
