Sounds like a fantastic service
Wow.
cockbags
Guess who's not going to use Origin.
(Me)
I knew there was just going to be SOMETHING.
and this is why steam will always be #1
And because of that and a lot of other things Steam still is the leader.
EDIT: Ninjas
double post
hahahaha what
I really wasn't planning on using this anyway
Well, that's one important thing to put in the best-selling advice book titled "How Not To Run A Video Game Business". You can find it under Chapter 3: Digital Distribution Services.
Someone should probably actually WRITE that damn book.
Also, just when you think Activision's a whole lot worse than EA, EA closes the gap by being an arse. It's like a race or a contest!
I dearly hope it doesn't fuck with my Steam copy of Dragon Age, although why should it?
But why? Authentication data for even hundreds of games can't exceed a few MB...
I'm betting now that this hit reddit they're going to change it in under a week to save face
I wonder what the guy who thought that up was on.
The hell? I was already planning to not use Origin, except possibly just for BF3, but now there's no way in hell I'll EVER use it.
Steam has a similar clause but without the time limit, basically that they reserve the right to cancel any account due to inactivity.
The question is if two years without logging into the game or the service even once is a short or long enough limit.
Steam cancels accounts due to inactivity too.
If Battlefield 3 requires Origin, I wish it would be possible to know how it affects the sales figures.
If it's just a dumb download manager that isn't required to play the game, it might not be as bad for them.
But then again, EA really likes being a massive dick, I wouldn't be surprised if it initially didn't require Origin, but it became a requirement in a later patch.
what's funny is that there are no mod tools either
so good luck to the game lasting for that long
Well, it's not as if I was going to use Origin anyway.

Remember that it is EA. No matter how bad it is now, it is going to get worse.

Only if the account in question has never purchased a game or made a transaction in game
Okay, why ?
Only if the account in question has never purchased a game or made a transaction in game
Which is basically a red flag for scam accounts.
Sign in once every two years then
What if you're kidnapped for 3 years?
Fuck off, EA.

I often find myself going to prison for 2 years so that might not be an option
I keep assaulting people who make shitty digital distribution platforms
EA has a really hard time of doing anything without being a huge cunt.
I think it has to do with the large number of soulless lawyers EA employs.
Yeah, pretty sure that is the issue here.
This has to be a joke.
