[QUOTE]A Briton suspected of blowing himself up in Syria was living in the former house of schoolgirl Sarah Payne’s killer, Roy Whiting.
Chillingly, the house is also on a street named Martyrs Avenue, it emerged today.
Abdul Waheed Majeed, 41, is suspected of driving a lorry into a jail in Aleppo and detonating a bomb – to the shock of some of his neighbours in Crawley, West Sussex.
Nita Bateman, 55, described him as a pleasant man who helped her when she was ill.
But she added: ‘I’m beginning to wonder whether it’s something to do with that house.
‘He was the next person to move in after Roy Whiting’s dad moved out. I know he was born in West Green, just up the road from here. I have lived here for 20 years, and after all the hoo-ha with Roy Whiting, he moved in soon afterwards.’
Reports suggest that a British jihadi, who used the name Abu Suleiman al-Britani, carried out the bombing.
Majeed, a married father-of-three, left Britain six months ago, telling his family he was going on a humanitarian mission to Syria. However, he stopped making contact with his family a week ago.
Sex offender Whiting abducted and killed seven-year-old Sarah Payne in July 2000 and is serving a 40-year prison term for her murder.

Not going to lie. I read that as "Sarah Palin's killer", and my brain started making '80s PC boot noises.
it's like salems lot. evil places call to evil people
Very uncanny. What u find most interesting is that he often helped his neighbors and cared for his community.
I guess his bombing wasn't a traditional martyr, seeing as he intended to cause a jailbreak, and not harm anyone. Just very interesting guy all around.
