[QUOTE]A 95-year-old bicyclist died Wednesday after being struck by an eastbound train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line in Mount Prospect, police said.
The collision involved train 622, which departed Barrington at 7:27 a.m. and was due into the Mount Prospect station at 7:50 a.m., Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.
Mount Prospect police officer Greg Sill said the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, lived in Mount Prospect. He was identified as Reginald Gaetz by a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
