The collision involved train 622, which departed Barrington at 7:27 a.m. and was due into the Mount Prospect station at 7:50 a.m., Metra spokesman Tom Miller said. Mount Prospect police officer Greg Sill said the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, lived in Mount Prospect.
