Peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.
The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

Well, Texas, you have done it.
As of 3:40 p.m. ET, more than 25,000 Texans have already signed the petition on The White House website to let Texas peacefully secede from United States of America and “create its own NEW government.”
The petition, created on Nov. 9, argues for secession, stating:

According to The White House, the petition must reach 25,000 signatures within 30 days in order to be considered.
“If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response,” explains the website.
If you would like to know about the process of creating petitions on ‘We the People: your voice in our government‘ section of the White House website, watch the video below:
Just last week, Rick Dunham explored differences between the U.S. and Texas that could lead to secession in his piece ‘Will Texas secede from Barack Obama’s America?’
And according to BuzzFeed’s Zeke Miller, Texas is not the only state whose residents are petitioning for secession, but is leading with the highest number of petitioners. Check out his list here.
10 bucks says it'll fail hilariously.
Why the hell would you want to secede? There are no advantages to seceding, infact Mexico would probably take Texas back if they secede.
Is it even feasible to try breaking up the American state into chunks like that anymore?
This is gonna be good
Where is my popcorn

We should make a deal with Mexico. We'll turn our backs on the annexation, and in turn we get to keep importing Texas's oil for cheap.

I'm pretty sure that's just the amount of signatures a petition on the whitehouse website needs to be reviewed. This petition doesn't really mean anything, they're just gonna get a cookie cutter answer to why Texas can't secede from the Union.
To be honest it isn't worded that badly and they bring up some fair points. Nothing about Race as you make it sound.
Just for a second imagine if actually happens. That would be moment to remember, eh? You'd be able to tell your kids how you were alive when the USA still had 50 states.
25 thousand out of the 25 million people in Texas.

Well, if the federal government does not represent the needs of Texans, I would say that Texans have every right to their own self-determination.
But you can hardly make the claim that the federal government is specifically neglecting the needs of Texans.
Bye
At least 17 other states have similar petitions to the Texas secession request on the We the People forum including New Jersey, New York, Montana, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, Oregon and Michigan. The closest behind Texas was Louisiana with 15,617 signatures.
what
Also, I think Washington D.C. needs to secede from the union, just so we can see what the fuck would happen.

I live here. They've pretty much already taken over.
The only way they should be allowed to do this is if EVERY SINGLE PERSON in Texas agrees to do it. And Austin would never allow it. If you saw the votes by county, almost every county was for Romney except for the tiny counties of Williamson and Travis colored blue.

Get Washington D.C. to annex all of the states.
Oh man, just imagine if Texas had its own government.
lol
what
Nothing surprising. Their sample was obviously of rednecks. There's a lot of them. So many in fact, that I honestly see these numbers as a positive thing. Because we all know there are way way way more than 25,000 rednecks in Texas, yet they only got that many signatures.
No one is seceding calm down.

Why in the hell would we ever go back to Mexico? I don't see why people keep saying that.
Really? Can this even happen anymore?

How the fuck would the East join the EU?
They are thousands of miles away from Europe...
Why the hell would you want to secede? There are no advantages to seceding, infact Mexico would probably take Texas back if they secede.
Why do people keep saying this shit?
Mexico is a third world shithole who's Military can't even control it's Northern States let alone try to invade Texas.

Rednecks? you mean sore losers.

Because some people can't let go of a war that happened 170 years ago.
Same with people who can't get over the one that happened 160 years ago, those states now vote strictly red.
