At least six Pakistanis have been shot dead and two others wounded by Iranian border guards after they crossed the border, Pakistani officials say.
Officials say the incident occurred on Thursday on the Iranian side of the border close to Pakistan's south-western Balochistan province.
The wounded men and the corpses of the six others are yet to be handed over to the Pakistani authorities.
Reports say the men were livestock traders.

"Six of them were killed in firing by Iranian border forces and two others were wounded," local police official, Mujeebur Rehman, in the port town of Gwadar told the AFP news agency.
Earlier this month, Pakistani police detained three Iranian border guards after they allegedly crossed the border, and opened fire, killing one Pakistani man in a car they had been chasing.

US did it before it was cool Iran.
wow at first when i read the thread i thought they were pakistani guards that crossed the borders, but just livestock traders?
that doesn't seem good
I hope this wont lead to an armed conflict.
Iran seems to be fit to burst. I wonder how long the US will be able to keep itself out of things
*SNARP*
Well they almost got equal big Armies.
Let's just sit back and see what happens.
I'm revising my earlier statement: NOTHING will come of this. They were killed on the Iranian side of the border, which basically means that Pakistan can do jack-shit about it.
Border skirmishes and issues happen all over the world, all the time.
Well that was a dick move. They were just livestock traders, FFS.

I get the feeling that the Iranians are probably rather...trigger-happy at the moment considering events as of late.
Iran sure is doing good in making a name for itself, especially when its so close to engaging a battle with Israel and/or the United States
I did not expect stupidity to steamroll this threads front page.
Iranian border guards probably mistaken them for drug traffickers, or thought they were armed perhaps.
A couple Iranians =/= Entire country.
This happens all the time.

There you go, the same shit, except on the 'allied' side.
If you cross any border, this happens.
The guards probably didn't know they were livestock traders.
Iran accuses all of them, livestock included, as being American spies in 3....2....

they weren't goats, they were IEDs
Fuck sakes... sensationalist headlines at its finest.
How about you read the own articles you post OP? Or not post a title as stupid as that?

This this this and this. Border Guards have every right to shoot border hoppers in every country ever, if they refuse to stop that is.
Hopefully this won't turn into another retarted shitstorm of "Iran bad, amerikka attak dem"

You god damn ninja.
I don't quite get what Iran's beef is with everybody.
Misleading title, made me think Iran was invading Pakistan or something.

Pretty much, everyone in the military either thinks they can take down the entire US (as armed conflict is pretty much inevitable right now) or that they'd get steamrolled by them. I can understand someone being a bit trigger-happy right now.
Though that has nothing to do with this incident in particular. I'd imagine the border guard just thought the traders were smuggling drugs or something; nothing anywhere near as big as what people seem to be making it out to be.
Nothing as usual... carry on >_>
They were probably smuggling pythons inside their goats that were trained by the US to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment plant.
Brilliant, piss of the one country in the middle east that actually has nukes Iran. Good job.
Just when Pakistan and the US stop being best friends, hmmmm....
:v:
The first picture is awesome. The modern military man is standing in an old style fort. It just looks cool.
Oh boy, here we go...
Well that was rude.
Don't start a fucking war.
Edit: I know your war boners are starting to swell but don't give in.
Edit2: Plus this thread title is quite sensational :v:
inb4 pakistan shifts some of it's artillery from the Indian border to the Iranian border.
Pakistan loves them some border Arty duels.
The title isn't sensationalist, it sums up the article perfectly.
Iran engages Pakistanis in armed border conflict, Pakistani casualties taken.
