[release]Earlier this week, the nebulous and notorious international Internet hacktivist collective known as Anonymous exposed a large ring of Internet pedophiles. Operation Darknet Tuesday, after hacking into Lolita City, a darknet website used by pedophiles to trade in child pornography, Anonymous released usernames and other information of 1,589 pedophiles trading in kiddie porn. A darknet website is a closed private network of computers used for file sharing, sometimes referred to as a hidden wiki. Darknet websites are part of the Invisible Web, sometimes called the Deep Web, containing content that is not part of the Surface Web, which is indexed by standard search engines. In Tuesday’s Pastebin release, Anonymous enthusiasts explain the technical side of how they were able to locate and identify Lolita City and access their user data base. In a prior Pastebin release, Anonymous offers a timeline of events detailing the discovery of the hidden cache of more than 100 gigabytes of child porn associated with Lolita City. The following is a statement concerning Operation Darknet, and a list of demands released by Anonymous:
------------------------ Our Statement ------------------------ The owners and operators at Freedom Hosting are openly supporting child pornography and enabling pedophiles to view innocent children, fueling their issues and putting children at risk of abduction, molestation, rape, and death. For this, Freedom Hosting has been declared #OpDarknet Enemy Number One. By taking down Freedom Hosting, we are eliminating 40+ child pornography websites, among these is Lolita City, one of the largest child pornography websites to date containing more than 100GB of child pornography. We will continue to not only crash Freedom Hosting's server, but any other server we find to contain, promote, or support child pornography. ------------------------ Our Demands ------------------------ Our demands are simple. Remove all child pornography content from your servers. Refuse to provide hosting services to any website dealing with child pornography. This statement is not just aimed at Freedom Hosting, but everyone on the internet. It does not matter who you are, if we find you to be hosting, promoting, or supporting child pornography, you will become a target.
Doxing the Pedophiles at Lolita City In yet another Pastebin release, an Anonymous enthusiast self identifying as Arson, released the fiollowing:
After hours of researching the users dump from Lolita City, we have found documents and identified many of the users. If the FBI, Interpol, or other law enforcement agency should happen to come across this list, please use it to investigate and bring justice to the people listed here.
Arson goes on to identify numerous suspected pedophiles. Thank you Anon!
Incoming people still taking the piss of them even the only thing we've ever done is send 2000 chairs to Obama
See, Anon can do good.
Nice to see the group Focusing efforts on something that's actually a major problem.
Best thing they did this year
suddenly something noble

Soon prisoners will have new play mates.
But aren't they pretty much a pedophile ring themselves?
Its scary, because a lot of the usernames on that list are actually usernames people use on other sites, albeit a lot of them use them on messed up sites like rape forums and kids feet forums but some of them are stupid enough to use the same username on a kiddy porn site as they do on their flickr, xfire, game forums etc.
This is a pretty sad indictment on those at the FBI and analogues agencies.

I approve of this.
I wish Anon did more stuff like this instead of trying to wear shoes too big for them and trying to change the world and failing.
And people talk about anonymous as if they can't do anything.
It is good that Anon did this, this all probably wouldn't been found out if it wasn't for Anon. Thanks Anon now keep up the good fight.
At last! Anonymous should be doing more of this instead of their pointless crusades.
I want anonymous to start DDOSING cheater/hacker websites.
I want anonymous to start DDOSING cheater/hacker websites.
But Anonymous are hackers. Why would they do that? It's totally counter-productive.
But Anonymous are hackers. Why would they do that? It's totally counter-productive.
They also are gamers, why would it be counterproductive to attack a website where cheats are being shared/sold?
They also are gamers, why would it be counterproductive to attack a website where cheats are being shared/sold?
You just contradicted yourself, but okay... See, there's all kinds of people in Anonymous because they're a rather large organization. However, in order to be a member of a group like Anonymous (or at least a productive one) you need to be a hacker, hence all the members who have any say won't do anything to harm potential groups of people who can help. The ones who don't want any part in their plans aren't involved. Do you understand?
They also are gamers,
No there not. They are 4chaners, which doesn't automatically make them gamers.
See, they can do something good. [editline]22nd October 2011[/editline]
No there not. They are 4chaners, which doesn't automatically make them gamers.
Don't think "4channer" is an accurate enough description either. Anonymous are 4channers in the same way GMod players are Facepunchers, I.E it's a somewhat common denominator but in no way fully inclusive.
See, there's all kinds of people in Anonymous because they're a rather large organization.
Pfft.
Pfft.
They are, you know, just decentralized. Not having a central figurehead or power hierarchy doesn't disqualify them as an "organization".
They are, you know, just decentralized. Not having a central figurehead or power hierarchy doesn't disqualify them as an "organization".
In fact, decentralized command structure is exactly why they can be hard to deal with and why, when they set their minds to it, they can do a lot of things any other group wouldn't be able to. It's also used in a variety of other situations, and it's a particularly effective strategy in modern warfare. Moaryouknow.jpg
This is a pretty sad indictment on those at the FBI and analogues agencies.
How is it? The FBI have loads of stuff to do not just track down paedos.
How is it? The FBI have loads of stuff to do not just track down paedos.
If only they would stop hunting copyright infringers and "pirate networks" and start going after the real criminals, like these...
DarkNet sounds so cyberpunk and sci-fi, but in reality it's all the crap that goes on beneath the face of the regular Net, and judging from what i've heard it sounds like the maggot-ridden deep rot hidden beneath embalmed skin. Y'know, with all the nasty stuff and vile people that lurk in those tainted depths? Good that Anon exposed the ring, but it musta been like performing an autopsy on a long-dead corpse, the sight of the hideousness and the stench of corpse gas; an unpleasant experience i'll wager. Still, it had to be done to bring the worms to the surface.
