I don't know if anybody here watches it, but Persons Unknown is a new mini-series on NBC. It's directed by Christopher McQuarrie (he wrote + produced Valkyrie, and played an extra in The Usual Suspects) and it's about a group of people who suddenly wake up in an abandoned town shrouded in mystery. The first few episodes are them trying to escape, but tranquilizers and "pain guns". There's a new hour-long episode every Saturday.
Characters
Janet Cooper, a mother whose lost her daughter. She seems more important than you think.
Joe Tucker, a mysterious man with a mysterious past. Willing to take charge in a situation, but nobody knows what he's doing in the town.
Graham McNair, a military sergeant who was apparently abducted in combat or while servicing in the army.
Moira Doherty, a school disaster counselor who has quite a lot of medical knowledge from first-hand experience.
Tori Fairchild, a young bitch (woman) whose father is the Italian ambassador. Pretty obvious she lives an eccentric lifestyle.
Charlie Morse (Played by Alan Ruck, IE Cameron from Ferris Bueller), I forgot what he does but he has a wife who is very sick; or does he?
Bill Blackham, a lazy jerk. He is apparently a car salesman, but something doesn't add up.
Mark Renbe, a journalist investigating the disappearance of Janet Cooper (He's not in the town.)
Yo yo yo here's a trailer and stuff, bitchezzzzzz

So if you're running out of dramatic, kind-of-okay-maybe-a-little-predictable 13-episode TV shows, check out Persons Unknown.
Yeah, I've been watching this. Pretty interesting so far.
Anyone else still watching this? I just finished watching the ninth episode and it seems like everything is about to come together.
i like the lesbian black chick
Yeah, except there's a week long break. :saddowns:
Been watching it since the start, its kinda like Lost if you ask me with all these mysterious forces intertwining to some big lead up.. Just alot faster than lost.
Yeah but it's just a lot more predictable than Lost. The premise is great, there's so much the directors can do with Persons Unknown. It's hard to tell what will happen but if the first season has a great ending there could be even better future seasons.
well that was a shitty ending

(really dont click the spoiler)
[sp]they are now in level 2 of the program - a boat[/sp]
I'm undecided.
[sp]I was actually surprised by the final episode. It would be interesting to see the interactions between Renbe, Joe, and Tori. It was just such a gradual buildup to the final episode for just a teaser to the second season which I don't think is even going to be made. [/sp]
The end made me "Wut"
Just, saw the end :psyduck:
The ending was pure shit. fuck this show. i cant believe i wasted 13 hours of my life on this fucking train wreck.

they make a cliff hanger ending, leaving info for the second season. which will most likely not come since they had shitty ratings.
i remember the commercial said "At the end of summer, ALL WILL BE REVEALED" fuck off NBC no it didnt you sloppy cunts

the program can suck a dick and so can madamme director
I could have sworn I read this wasn't a series and was more like a special kind of miniseries on the line of The Pacific/Band of Brothers.
