A Georgia man has been hospitalized in critical condition after he had his friends set fire to his head on a bet at a local bar. Normally I'd say '10 bucks says he's drunk' but I'd be pretty damn surprised if this happened in a bar and he was sober.
I recently had a 2nd degree sunburn on my face, never had a 3rd degree, I can't believe how much pain you must be in before getting all the morphine and whatever they give you to ease the pain.
being burned is the worst way to go
doesn't third degree mean that your nerves are too damaged for you to feel pain?
Third degree means that it's burned straight through your nerves, so yes.
being burned is the worst way to go
I think about this a lot, what kind of pain is the absolutely worst pain you can feel. I don't think being on fire is the worst.
Third degree means that it's burned straight through your nerves, so yes.
Yeah. Then they begin healing. And make sure to remind you you are fucking idiot by sending you into agony for days and days.
Third degree means that it's burned straight through your nerves, so yes.
I had 3rd degree with some 2nd degree burns around the edges once. It blistered. Do you want to know why I got them? I accidentally spilled really hot Pizza Hut Pizza Sauce one myself. We still say to this day we should have sued them.
You spilled hot shit on yourself? What negligence do you suggest occurred? Hot shit existing at a restaurant?
You spilled hot shit on yourself? What negligence do you suggest occurred? Hot shit existing at a restaurant?
Well, food shouldn't even be cooked hot enough to give a man 3rd degree burns. I mean, why even make it that hot if it will just be inedible from it anyways? And keep in mind I was 4 when this happened.
Hahahah. The name of the website in the OP is called the Melted Brain.
Why is one of the bar rules: "No sleeveless or white t-shirts for men."
It's not surprising this happened in Georgia :v:
Oh god that must of had to hurt...
georgia represent.
I think about this a lot, what kind of pain is the absolutely worst pain you can feel. I don't think being on fire is the worst.
I think there's a point where it stops being about the pain and more about the associatated panic. fire may not be the worst pain you could possibly feel, but I can guarantee that there's almost nothing capable of making you go so damn crazy as a fire on your body.
Burns are among the worst injuries you can get, as there is nothing the doctors can do for the pain. Sure they can give you painkillers and the like, but not much else outside that.

And keep in mind I was 4 when this happened.
You can get third degree burns really fucking easily. Most pizzas in places like that are cooked in ovens that burn at temperatures in excess of 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures above 160 degrees can (in cases of direct contact) give you a third degree burn in under one second.
boiling oil fell on my feet once, 2nd degree burns and couldn't walk for 2 months. [editline]26th July 2012[/editline] plus every week they would take off my bandages and pour salt solution on my feet, then pick dead skin off.
He would have been in worse pain if someone had kicked him in the nuts. Then he wouldn't have given a shit about his head being on fire.
Oh god, this reminds me so much of the time I set my hair on fire on accident a month ago while trying to lit a cigarette.
Why is one of the bar rules: "No sleeveless or white t-shirts for men."
Basically means you cannot wear a tanktop in their club. [editline]26th July 2012[/editline] minimal dress code
Natural selection.
On the bright side he got some great sideburns now though.
Ah home :) I miss some of the redneck bullshit sometimes.
