It comes after the Islamic State (formerly known as Isis) seized the town of Zumar and two nearby oilfields from Kurdish forces on Saturday. Kurdish media said Zumar had been retaken by Peshmerga forces on Monday. IS was also reported to have taken over the town of Sinjar near Syria on Sunday.[/quote]
This is great news, not only does it show Iraq are still fighting fit but it shows they're not bitter about the kurds wanting to leave and are prepared to help them regardless.
Kurds actually have their shit together but a bit of backup wouldn't be bad, just wish they had their own bit of land to peacefully reside in but it looks like the neighbouring countries won't take kindly to it
