Delivery boy Cesar Lucas, 16, is accused of raping a woman as she slept in a building where he was delivering a pizza order. A demented pizza delivery boy raped an upper West Side woman Saturday as her 7-year-old daughter slept in the bed beside her — and then offered an apology before fleeing, police and the victim said. Cesar Lucas, 16, was busted at his boss’ 10th Ave. pizzeria shortly after dropping off a pie in the building and then sexually assaulting his shocked victim, cops said. “I screamed,” the shaken 35-year-old woman told the Daily News in an apartment still covered with black fingerprint dust. “It took him about 30 seconds. I said, ‘Get off of me,’ and I pushed him. “He said, ‘I’m sorry,’ and ran out.” The little girl, curled up in bed alongside her mother, never awoke as the rapist assaulted the victim. The two went to bed about 90 minutes before the horrifying 12:30 a.m. attack. Incredibly, the suspect had been able to keep his job at Sal’s Pizzeria despite an August arrest for robbing a W. 42nd St. apartment while using his delivery gig to enter the building. JEFFERSON SIEGEL/FOR NY DAILY NEWS Pizza delivery man Cesar Lucas is walked out of the 20th Precinct on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Lucas arrived Saturday at the doorman building with a pizza for a customer on the 10th floor. Once his work was done, the teen allegedly found his way to the victim’s unlocked door down the hall. “He goes through the building opening doors,” said the victim, a modeling agent, as she wiped away tears. “There I am with my daughter sleeping. And he rapes me with my daughter right next to me?” The rape occurred inside a bedroom filled with dozens of porcelain and plastic dolls belonging to the little girl. Cops said the attacker tried to muzzle the victim’s cries by putting his hand over her mouth. “It seemed fake,” said the victim, who said she woke up a little disoriented to find Lucas already on top of her. “I opened my eyes. I said, ‘Get off. What are you doing?’ I was hysterical.” Lucas was tracked down by police through the building doorman, who let him inside, and the customer, who steered them to the pizza shop. He was arrested while still on the clock at the Hell’s Kitchen business and charged with rape and burglary, police said. JEFFERSON SIEGEL/FOR NY DAILY NEWS Cesar Lucas, 16, was arrested for raping a woman, 35, in her apartment. The victim said her iPhone was missing, and cops were investigating whether Lucas was responsible for its disappearance. The victim’s daughter was stunned. “Does he have a mother?” the little girl asked after the violent attack. The superintendent at Lucas’ Bronx apartment building described the slight youth as a quiet, respectful kid from a good family. “He looks like he’s afraid of his own shadow,” said Paul Aponte, 40. “That’s why this is shocking to say the least. He’s not one of these guys who’s out here all loud.” A glum-looking Lucas, who wasn’t wearing shoes, ignored questions from reporters as cops led him from the 20th Precinct stationhouse to a waiting unmarked car. The victim, who shares a three-bedroom apartment with two roommates in the high-rise building, lives across the hall from her mother. The family moved into the building 25 years ago, she said. FACEBOOK Cesar Lucas of the Bronx allegedly raped a women while she slept as he was on a pizza delivery run. They frequently go back and forth between the two flats, and feel so comfortable in the building that they often leave doors unlocked. “We feel safe here,” the victim said — although that’s no longer the case. The woman said that her two roommates were out for the night when the attacker slipped into their apartment. The little girl’s father had visited earlier in the night before leaving. “I’m just glad (my daughter) didn’t wake up and see me hysterical,” the mother said. The child skipped her usual Saturday dance lessons to spend the day with her mom, who was treated at Roosevelt Hospital after the attack. The victim was left reeling a second time after learning her attacker was just high-school age. “He was 16?” she asked incredulously. “Oh, my God. What if he’s done this before? It’s so shocking that he was so young.” Cops said Lucas had done something similar before the attack early Saturday. The teen was arrested last month for breaking into an apartment while delivering pizza, police sources said. FACEBOOK Cesar Lucas, 16, a pizza delivery boy from Sal's Pizzeria in the Upper Wide Side allegedly raped a women while she slept as he was on a delivery run. Lucas allegedly broke into a 39-year-old woman’s W. 42nd St. apartment on Aug. 21 and snatched her wallet. He made off with two credit cards and her ID, the sources said. Police found the stolen cards a few hours later when he was stopped for jumping a turnstile at a Bronx subway station. He was booked on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and burglary in that case — but kept his job while avoiding jail. The owner of Sal’s could not be reached Saturday. The rape victim said she’s ordered pizza from Sal’s as recently as her daughter’s birthday. “Never again,” she said. Lucas’ final words haunt her, she added. “He should go to prison for . . . violating me and having the audacity to say ‘I’m sorry’ while my daughter is sleeping next to me,” she said. This doesnt make sense to me... especially the fact that the 7 year old never woke up. It doesn't add up IMO.
-snipe no one likes me-
Surprised a pizza place would even hire a driver below 18, none of the ones near me do
i thought you had to be 18+ to be a pizza delivery man or does it depend on the state
Sal's is pretty good, but not good enough to make up for this
I've always wondered what would happen if one of those "Big Sausage Pizzas" was delivered to the wrong address...
This doesnt make sense to me... especially the fact that the 7 year old never woke up. It doesn't add up IMO.
Kids could probably sleep through an air raid.
It took him about 30 seconds.
Judging from this and the rest of the article, he didn't actually succeed in raping her, he just tackled her, got scared, then ran out.
He was booked on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and burglary in that case — but kept his job while avoiding jail.
How is this even possible? I could maybe see letting it slide once, but this is his second offense. If he still has his job after this, I'll be shocked.
“It took him about 30 seconds. I said, ‘Get off of me,’ and I pushed him."
Story of my life.
Either he's the most desperate deliveryboy known to man, or he's got a mental condition.
This doesnt make sense to me... especially the fact that the 7 year old never woke up. It doesn't add up IMO.
Sounds more like attempted rape / indecent exposure than rape.
"But I didn't order sausage on my pizza." *Ziiiiip*
She should've called the plumber instead, at least he would've asked
I have a sneaky feeling that she be another women randomly claiming rape for her. The men never win these fights.
I have a sneaky feeling that she be another women randomly claiming rape for her. The men never win these fights.
Yeah, nothing at all adds up.
Don't say that. Sanius, thisispain and Lankist will school y'all MISOGYNISTSSSSS
I really don't think this is a case of anyone just "Crying Rape". Seriously, Who Benefits?
was the pizza good?
I have a sneaky feeling that she be another women randomly claiming rape for her. The men never win these fights.
That's for the court to decide.
How is this even possible? I could maybe see letting it slide once, but this is his second offense. If he still has his job after this, I'll be shocked.
Seeing as he's 16 and being a deliver driver the business if probably low-key and family owned, and the 16-year old is probably related to the owners in some way Also one thing that doesn't make sense to me is why would someone order pizza then go to bed? Unless this guy was delivering to a neighbor and decide to waltz into this sleeping womans home
That prior robbery event won't look good for him in court
looks like the delivery boy gave her the tip :downsrim:

After that, it was probably a simple matter of checking the various doors of everyone on that floor to see if anyone left theirs unlocked. FYI this guy's done this before. Specifically, gaining access to a building due to work and then exploiting that.
If this is true then the kid is one vile, rotten piece of shit.
I have a sneaky feeling that she be another women randomly claiming rape for her. The men never win these fights.
While it may be the case, there is nothing in the story at all to suggest this.
Surprised a pizza place would even hire a driver below 18, none of the ones near me do
The Bronx is an urban place. He either walked or rode a bike.
I have a sneaky feeling that she be another women randomly claiming rape for her. The men never win these fights.
That's for court to decide. Until then, everyone has the right to a fair trial, without people assuming that they're lying just to get some random guy thrown in jail.
Something seems off here, while the prior robbery seems to validate this case it doesn't make sense. Apparently people describe him as respectful and quiet, not a loud person, the daughter didn't wake up during the rape, it took him 30 seconds to get off and during that she was just telling him to get off? No punches or anything? I'm pretty sure a 35 year old woman is stronger then the average 16 year old which this guy is from that picture. It just feels...off.

It's tough as shit to wake a sleeping child up (especially one that goes to bed late, aka 10 PM.) You're saying "it took him 30 seconds to get off" like it's impossible, and simple strength's not the point. First off, he probably is stronger then her (a boy still entering the prime of his youth vs. an adult woman?) She was confused and described as hysterical (flight or fight, she clearly chose flight and just sorta blanked out) and fighting back against your attacker with your daughter right there isn't exactly safe (rapes can turn violent very fast.)
