"But it turns out it wasn't a duffel bag. We could smell it and it was a pig on a leash," he said. "She tethered it to the arm rest next to me and started to deal with her stuff, but the pig was walking back and forth." "I was terrified, because I was thinking I'm gonna be on the plane with the pig," Snolnik added, saying he guesses the pig weighed between 50 and 70 pounds. But the flight didn't take off with the pig. The woman and the animal eventually deplaned. American Airlines, the parent company of US Airways, confirmed to ABC News that a passenger brought the pig aboard as an emotional support animal. After the pig became disruptive, she was asked to leave, a spokesperson said.
I can't say I blame the airliner. I know my emotional support pig can get really annoying to other people as well.
You got emotional support pig?
She couldn't fly without her pig, but it seems the passengers were too scared of her anyway. I don't blame them
What is this
Yep. Happens to me all the time :(
I too have a service pig. He helps me with my addiction therapy. You know, when the cravings roll around and you just need some way to satisfy them. Oinkers XVI will be there for me. [sp]I'm addicted to bacon and honey glazed christmas ham[/sp]
Portable bacon
"I was terrified, because I was thinking I'm gonna be on the plane with the pig," Snolnik added
Really, that's your reaction on seeing a pig?

there will come a day... when pigs fly but only when we make a pig-owners only class [editline]29th November 2014[/editline]
Really, that's your reaction on seeing a pig?
on a plane i'd say its perfectly natural, specially since its a large pig
What kind of emotional support do pigs get?
wait forget the emotional support pig, what about people thinking the plan was going to crash with an emotional support pig.
It was servicing her by developing bacon and chops for her later while also preventing the need to refrigerate during transport
What kind of emotional support do pigs get?
It's supposed to give emotional support, not receive it. Although I like to think my emotional support pig has mutual feelings for me.
It's supposed to give emotional support, not receive it. Although I like to think my emotional support pig has mutual feelings for me.
I know, I wanna know who supports the pig. Like, who watches the watchmen.
wait forget the emotional support pig, what about people thinking the plan was going to crash with an emotional support pig.
I think he was more upset that a big old pig was his passenger adjacent.
I believe pigs are actually quite intelligent creatures so using one as a service animal doesn't really surprise me.
"Emotional Support Animals" are a joke in the medical field. Any pet is going to be an "Emotional Support Animal"
What a bunch of wussies "Oh no there's something were not comfortable with" [editline]29th November 2014[/editline] Can we start throwing babies and toddlers off planes now
What a bunch of wussies "Oh no there's something were not comfortable with" [editline]29th November 2014[/editline] Can we start throwing babies and toddlers off planes now
I'm sorry, but I for one would not want to sit next to a literal stinking squeeling pig. I can hardly deal with the anthropomorphic ones as it is.

I pay for a ticket for an airplane not a petting zoo.
Man, they're really reaching for sequels these days Snakes on a Plane was okay, but this is just getting ridiculous
Man, they're really reaching for sequels these days Snakes on a Plane was okay, but this is just getting ridiculous
I'm sure Bacon on a Plane would be a 10/10 hit movie.
I believe pigs are actually quite intelligent creatures so using one as a service animal doesn't really surprise me.
hold up. HOOOOOOOOOOOOLD UP. Theres a HUGE difference between an "Emotional Support Animal" and a "Service Animal".
If you try to take a pig on an airplane you reap what you sow.
emotional support service animal? So its only 'service' is being a pet?
I'm sorry, but I for one would not want to sit next to a literal stinking squeeling pig.
Public transportation must be hard for you

That means it gets bathed like a pet, groomed like a pet and ideally trained like one.

Most air travel companies don't let people tie their pets up in the aisle of their planes. Then again I'm not sure what the laws in America are about animals on planes.
