Um Johnny drew the mascot himself. Also, I don't think his art style is anything exceptional but it's certainly not ms paint level bad in my opinion.

Exactly what I was going to say before.
Though I will agree that it isn't one of his best works, as I think the stuff he draws for things for either BSC, SGB or his own channel are actually really good, especially this piece he drew for the BSC playthrough of Mario Part 3:

He was going to make a new one for the year, but I guess he decided to stick with this one
