Calling out facepunch. Eminem is due to release his latest album titled 'Recovery' in June of this year.
The question of today is; What do you think of Eminem?
This means, lets just talk about his traumatic background, his music, his personality etc.
-----
Personally, I think his songs are amazing, he reaches deep down into the heart and literally just writes it out. Also, he is better than most black rappers at actually Rap.

Eminem quickly gained popularity in 1999 with his major-label debut album The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The following album, The Marshall Mathers LP, became the fastest-selling solo album in history. It brought Eminem increased popularity, including his own record label, Shady Records, and brought his group project D12 to mainstream recognition.

He then won the award again in 2010 for his album Relapse, giving him a total of 11 Grammys in his career. In 2002, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Lose Yourself" from the film 8 Mile, in which he also played the lead. What's your favourite song?
DISCUSS.
he's a lot better now than he was in the 90s
he was a lot better in the 90s than now
fixd
I like a few of his songs that he sounds passionate about, but then most of them I dislike listening too. It is like any artist for me really...
I like some of his songs and alot of it from the early to mid 2000's was GREAT.
But he has a SHITTY ass celebrity personality, he acts like an angry child whenever he doesnt get his way.
Isn't enough of anything for me to really feel anything except indifference to him.
You know his songs about his mother were bullshit right?

LoL sum1 mad?
he's a lot better now than he was in the 90s
why huh wha
He doesn't like ICP, I have a little respect for him.
I was fan of his when I was a kid, now I'm not into rap
He's white.
I like his music, obviously don't know him so i can't really have a true opinion on him. Only what the media portray.
I used to be quite a big Fan of the Eminem now I do listen to him and the songs I most enjoy are the ones about his daughters and when it's not just him.
I like Stan but that's it.

Still good though.
Also, stan is good, the story is pretty sweet.
Anybody like superman/hailies song?
He switches from serious to jokey, so I'm not sure how to analyse him at all. His jokey songs, he doesn't seem to care about at all and is probably what got him lots of fame but his serious rapping is what, I think, made people respect him and credit him.
But that's just my opinion.
My favourite artist. My most favourite song of his is, well....I like most if not all of his songs.

theres the whole kim/mariah thing but thats not big
compared to other pretentious celebritys who are all over themselves, eminem aient bad at all

Exactly my opinion too. My favourite songs are Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, The Way I Am, and Stan.
wigger
I hate all rap so i'll probably not post my opinion.

Some of his stuff is good. Has great political messages,
He fell off.
The Slim Shady LP and the Marshall Matters LP were pretty cool but he's gone to shit now except for a few singles.
Used to be good, isn't so much now. Pity.
He's a talented artist.
I used to love him and I still like him, but I appreciate his serious material more than his jokey songs.
I like a couple new songs
He's on and off now, was especially amazing earlier in his career. If you listen to his parts in songs like Forever, compare him to the other rappers in the song. He's the clear cut winner.
