No hidden Episode three trailer? :colbert:
Well if they would add a hidden trailer they obviously wouldn't mention it in the changelog
TIME FOR CODE COMBING!!!
I wish...
Wait - why just these games? What about CS, TF2, DoD etc. etc?
:raise:

Perhaps it's something to do with the AI system, sandy bridge could help with that.

What about L4D games, TF2 bots and CS bots? They also have an AI system?
Sandy Bridge sounds naughty
They wouldn't make this that important if it was something small like this.
There's something more to this update, I have a STRONG feeling.

Or, you know, it's just an update to better support hardware.

the biggest update is 50 MB, I doubt there's anything secret in this.
Every time I see HL2 in the news section I always get my hopes up thinking its EP3 related and they get crushed.
:suicide:
Awwww, I expected something cryptic in the text, like in those Portal updates. Too bad it's just a normal patch :frown:
Please, let there be somthing, anything in this code that hints at EP3...
So does this mean I can play old HL2 mods again without them breaking on me?
Why don't they just name it "source engine update"
Why don't they just name it "source engine update"
They do this just to mess with our heads.
oh cool i'll have to upgrade my CPU to receive the benefits!
oh cool i'll have to upgrade my CPU to receive the benefits!
That is a 100% accurate description of the current situation
oh cool an update for a processor that we cant buy
oh cool an update for a processor that we cant buy
Yes we can
Sandy Bridge sounds naughty
I bet there's a pornstar named Sandy Bridge.
Wait - why just these games? What about CS, TF2, DoD etc. etc?
:raise:
Because SP and MP games have separate Source engine branch and maybe it is harder to implement to implement to MP games or something? I dunno.
Yay, now my Sandy Bridge PC can get more than the 300fps it's already cranking out :downs:
No support for over 4 cored AMD chips?
Well fuck you too :crying:
The game has and always will support AMD quads.
This is just a SB specific optimisation

Actually I have a x6 Phenom and the most cores HL2, the Episodes, and Portal use is 3. Not even forced Multithreading will make them use anymore.
got me 'cited for nothing
Fixed a bug where some video configuration could get reset by restarting the engine
