The court heard that Venables adopted the online persona "Dawn", the mother of an 8-year-old girl, and asked other parents to send him pictures of their own children being abused. Venables and Robert Thompson were given life sentences for the brutal murder of toddler James Bulger in 1993, but the pair were released on licence in 2001 and given secret new identities for their own safety. The sadistic torture and murder of Bulger caused horror across Britain and fears about attacks on the two killers continue. Only the judge hearing the case on Friday was able to see Venables give his video evidence. After pleading guilty, the judge sentenced him to two years in jail. But he said that because he was still on licence, he would not automatically be released after serving his time and it would be up to a parole board to decide. Venables was arrested after he contacted police fearing someone had discovered his true identity. Officers arrived at his home and saw him trying to cut out his computer hard drive with a tin opener. Police examined the computer and found images involving children as young as two. There were also videos featuring young girls being raped and forced to perform oral sex. Bulger's mother Denise Fergus, in court to hear the verdict, demanded to know why Venables had not been recalled to prison two years ago when he was arrested in a drunken street fight. "Justice has not been done. These were very serious offences and two years is simply not enough to meet the gravity of what this person did," her spokesman Chris Johnson told reporters outside court. "We're surprised and concerned that he was not recalled under the terms of his parole licence when he committed an offence in 2008," he added, and called for a "full investigation" into the way the probation service handled the case. Venables admitted downloading 57 pornographic pictures of children on to his computer between February 2009 and February 2010, distributing indecent photos of children in February this year and distributing 42 images in February 2008. His lawyer, John Gibson, said afterwards that he accepted his sentence and was "genuinely ashamed" about what he had done. He also addressed Bulger's murder 17 years ago, when Venables and Thompson snatched the toddler from a shopping centre in Liverpool, northwest England. They took him to a nearby train track where they beat him with bricks and an iron bar and left him for dead. The lawyer said: "He has said that every day since what took place in 1993 he has thought about how different life might have been for all those affected, who he appreciates have also had their own reasons for reflection." He said Venables felt returning to prison was "something of a relief" and "he is determined now, once and for all, to become the person he wishes to be so that when he is eventually released from prison, he will never go back". After the two killers were released a decade ago, nothing more was known about their new lives until police began investigating Venables. Speaking in court, another of Venables' lawyers, Edward Fitzgerald, said his client did what he did partly because of the "wholly abnormal situation" of living under an assumed name amid "constant fear of reprisals". His "isolation" had led him into a "downward spiral of drink and drugs" and he had become addicted to cocaine and mephedrone, Fitzgerald said.
Ok, i'm all for prison as rehabilitation, but:
He said Venables felt returning to prison was "something of a relief" and "he is determined now, once and for all, to become the person he wishes to be so that when he is eventually released from prison, he will never go back".
Come the fuck on, seriously.
He's a terrible, terrible person! :tinfoil: [editline]07:23PM[/editline] Terrible! :black101:
What a creepy kid.
This is why death penalty should be allowed. Clearly fucked up monsters need some kind of torture or something to show them what they deserve, and no, I am not fucked up in any way.
Wrong on so many levels.
This is why death penalty should be allowed. Clearly fucked up monsters need some kind of torture or something to show them what they deserve, and no, I am not fucked up in any way.
The justice system is made for saftey, not vengance. So crawl back in your cave, clearly, you're equally fucked up if you wanna torture people.
The justice system is made for saftey, not vengance. There needs to be some kind of retribution.
Men get arrested, dogs get put down.
I seriously cannot read more then a single sentence of this thing without being confused. I just can't comprehend this, someone please make this make sense
Is it wrong that I almost laughed at the title? :ohdear:
Is it wrong that I almost laughed at the title? :ohdear:
Probably.
Is this kid like, a genius?
Is this kid like, a genius?
No, but probably psychopathic. Your conscience is often strong at 10 (although it really depends on your upbringing). If he didn't have it, it would have made killing a two-year-old a lot easier. Also, when there's a will, there's a way (as concerns the CP).

The people in there have the same morals as us but nothing to lose. I know what I'd do if I was in jail for life and some scum like this came along.
This is so a-new-season-of-Dexter thingy.
Said on news a bit ago that he only got 2 years.
Did you read the news article of the guy who broke into some womans apartment, pulled out her eyes, raped and burned her? Two dead people, that was originally one. A human life will always be worth more than a dumb and petty principle. I mean, I understand the sick and inhumane nature of the crimes, and how it's wrong and twisted to full extent, but, we need to provide a better example to show that we're more valid and reasonable human beings. Plus, people like that are empty shells, they will never laugh or feel love or joy. Just walk through their cold, bitter exsistance, never knowing what it's like to be a completed human being. Trust me, they suffer every breath they draw, and having to wake up to a world of inner pain, having no freedom or control over what petty excuse for a life they have, is more of a punishment than a second murder ever will be.
The justice system is made for saftey, not vengance. So crawl back in your cave, clearly, you're equally fucked up if you wanna torture people.
Killing these ones is safety, IMO.
Killing these ones is safety, IMO.
If you want to murder someone for your personal convenience, then clearly, you're either highly ignorant on how executions are done, or just a selfish sociopath. But alright, time for chemistry class :eng101:: So you want to kill a convicted criminal? Well, let's talk abit about the modern execution method known as "lethal injection". Now, lethal injection was made by one Karl Brandt, who was this man, you might ask? Well, lemme tell you. Ever seen those horrormovies where the creepy doctor slices people up, exposes them to chemicals, freezes them alive and just generally torture them to see how long they last for pointless, analytical purposes? Well, Karl Brandt was nothing like that... he was a nazi too. But it's not like he was working side by side with Adolf Hitler or anything... Oh, wait, he did. Truth is, he knew Hitler very well, and when he wasn't busy torturing jews, he made sure to treat Hitler's many diseases that kepts him alive, anything from his neurological injuries to his sifilis, anything to keep him from dying during the golden ages of the genocidal nazis, right? So, to sum our current information up: - Evil nazi sadistic madman with a PHD, came up with an execution tecnique. But you're problably thinking, "So what? The lethal injection has been proven to give them a quick and humane ending." Hah! You'd wish... Karl Brandt made sure that it only looked like they fell asleep, but had it not been for their vocal cords being completley paralyzed, they'd scream out in agony for two minutes as the toxin slowly killed them. But enough chit-chat, let's talk about it's original purpose. So it's time for a quick history class in what the nazis called "Life unworthy of life", that's right... The good 'ol nazis where the founders of capital punishment as we know it today, pretty ironic, no? I mean, sure, most countries thinks it's sick, but, America is big and dangerous, just like nazi Germany was, so why not give Hitler a nice memorial within the justice system, no? Now, the nazis may have charged people for different things, such as race or religion, but, the evil purpose still remains, it's just abit re-written for modern usage, just like the bible. But the nazis were known for their evil in general, as may have been established. So, the modern death penalty was adapted for the purpose of killing someone slowly, and painfully. Using mainly barbiturate, paralytic, and potassium solution. Some may say this will cause an instant death, but, that's only on paper, truth is, a large percentage goes through massive agony. This is the process: First: They strap you to a big white table, because some people just like it when people are restrained with a nice look of terror on their faces. Second: They put a bunch of needles in you. But keep in mind, you're not sedated, and you know you're about to die, no matter how much you scream, pray or apologize for what you did. It dosn't matter if you're actually innocent or not, the poison will still stop your heart... eventually. But I mean, come on... It's not like official records say that about ten thousand people are wrongfully convicted for manslaughter, forcible rape, aggravated assault, robbery, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft and arson each year accourding to official records. But come on, it's not like any of those are a greater offence that may cause you to end up in death row, and, it's not like someone with a perfect alibi who turned out being innocent all along have ever ended up in death row, right? Oh, wait, they have... But it was an honest mistake, right? I'm sure the evidence made it seem like he did it, right? No, wait, he was already in jail at the time of the murder. But to the point: After that, they inject you with a "sedative", but it won't do much, it will just paralyze you, you can still feel pain and hear things, you just can't talk or see anything, but, that hardly sounds horrrific, right? Then: In comes the poison, and within either two seconds, or minutes... Let's hope you have weak genes, you'll stop feeling restrained, since the massive pain will totally cancel out any other feeling. But, good news is, it must be abit reliving to have the pain going away. Sucks that you're dead by then, though :v:.
Did you read the news article of the guy who broke into some womans apartment, pulled out her eyes, raped and burned her? There needs to be some kind of retribution.
So you can feel better? What's the point of that?
You get that.
So this guy, killed a 2 year old when he was 10. Then 17 years later he's arrested for posing online as a mum who wants to see child abuse/porn? How do these people exist?
This is fucked up six ways from Sunday.
That sounds like a movie plot, not a real criminal plan!
-nevermind-
Men get arrested, dogs get put down.
.
Men get arrested, dogs get put down.
One might say in doing certain crimes you cease being a man.
You could argue he's a product of the system he's been a part of since a young age, and that the only world he knows any more is the world inside prison. Not that that justifies any of what he did in the slightest, it's pretty common knowledge that his crimes are absolutely horrific, but as always there is undoubtedly more to it than him being evil. Just my two cents
What a crazy fucker.
