Where the fuck did they get all those?
Hope they don't destroy them all.
Old as fuck Syrian arms cache?
Where the fuck did they get all those?
During the beginning of World War II and before, Hitler supported any sort of revolution movement against England or France, or anyone who occupied territory.
The Soviets gave these to them a long ass time ago along with crates of ammo. There's some pictures of Syrian rebels running and gunning with STG44s. Pretty funny that the gun is still seeing use.
STG44s were produced in 44 Hence the name
I know, that doesn't mean it couldn't end up there. You forget that it was after World War II that the English Empire began to seriously crumble.
You forget that it was after World War II that the English Empire began to seriously crumble.
Read a history book sometime. Everyone knows the glorious British Empire began to dissolve after America whooped their ass for their independence in WWI
I'll gladly take one
I know, that doesn't mean it couldn't end up there. Those STG-44's were probably Russian captures. They were probably given to syria and egypt and then forgotten about for decades.
I know, that doesn't mean it couldn't end up there. You forget that it was after World War II that the English Empire began to seriously crumble.
Hi I'm Swilly and I don't know anything about anything.

Even the Vietcong got their hands on some of them in Vietnam. It's pretty neat how a lot of old stuff still has a use today.

I thought the STG-44 was a relatively rare gun, even within the German army?
I thought the STG-44 was a relatively rare gun, even within the German army?
To my knowledge they began to throw them at all regular infantry at around the end of the war.
Fucking nazis and their secret weapon caches, man.
I thought the STG-44 was a relatively rare gun, even within the German army?
In terms of a percentage of soldiers who had them, yes. But they still made a hundred thousand or so of them. The Russians probably gathered them together then "donated" them to Syria in the 1950s or something
Get a fucking awesome Nazi gun and fund the Syrian rebels at the same time? Where do I sign up? I'll take twenty!
