It's noise.
I doubt most people would like to listen to it.

You've clearly never listened to any experimental ambient music.
too loud and overstated to be ambient. it's really just noise.
it's okay but you have a lot of noise without doing anything interesting with it. try listening to autechre and paying attention to how they can transform industrial noises such as these into compositions.

I am an Autechre enthusiast, I know exactly what you mean. Try listening to the whole track. It's not all noise. It's minimal ambient music.

the point of ambient is that it has to be subdued and easy to ignore yet interesting enough to attentively listen to. this has a lot of industrial factory sounds so it's too harsh to relax and zone out, yet the track doesn't progress enough to attentively listen to.
you need to forget about genres and instead focus on the mood and right now the mood is this kind of scary factory sound instead of relaxing or becoming part of the ambiance. it's scaring the shit out of me which is good but you need to develop it. with headphones it sounds like a jackhammer.
I'd like to clarify some stuff about this track - I wrote this one.. First of all, I'm not looking for any feedback on it - its 100% finished and I didn't actually ever intend to post it here. I would agree with all your critiques if it was supposed to be an ambient piece, but its not. I'd actually argue that its not really a piece of music at all, since I didn't intend to make it enjoyable to listen to.
It progresses really slowly, has a lot of harsh sounds, and it has an over-the-top climax that goes way past the comfortable listening point - but all that was completely intentional, its is called "Bored To Death" for a reason.. I really just wrote this piece for myself, and I honestly feel that it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music/sound that I have ever heard in my life. Again, its not that its enjoyable to listen to, its just incredibly powerful and moving.
Obviously it comes down to personal taste as to whether you agree with me or not - some people may just think this is "noise" and thats totally legitimate. Like I said before, this isn't really music, instead I'd call it sound art or abstract music. The whole purpose of this type of art is to invoke an emotional response - and some people get it and some people don't. If you'd like to try to understand this piece though, find a dark room with a really nice set of speakers, crank the bass and volume up to the point where you can literally feel it in your body, then sit back and actively listen to the whole track - I guarantee that you'll appreciate it after that.
