Channel 4 docudrama UKIP: The First 100 Days has prompted more than 700 complaints to media watchdog Ofcom since its broadcast on Monday night.
The programme depicted rioting on the streets after UKIP win the general election, mixing archive footage with imagined scenes.
Channel 4, which has defended the programme, has also had 250 complaints.

I'd imagine a documentary about the Greens winning would show similar signs of Britain undergoing societal collapse.
the comment section on that video is literally the scariest, most insane thing i've ever seen
I thought it was ok.

A documentary like this about the Greens would never be allowed to air and anyone involved would get a good old media witch hunt.
In case anyone was unsure as to whether channel 4 disliked UKIP
Not one much for UKIP but you can bet your ass something like this about another party won't be made, ever.
It was garbage, inaccurate, and truly laugable. It went from some dystopian shit to following some UKIP MP, going through life changes. In all honesty, it was a fuck up, and a horrible attempt of a propaganda piece.
I found it pretty cringey to be honest, it couldn't decide whether it was serious or silly, I can certainly understand why Ukip supporters aren't happy with it though.
I wish the media would stop glamorising UKIP, its just a one way trip to getting them more votes from the batshit portion of our population and frankly I don't think the more sane portion wants a dysfunctional, borderline racist, destructive and in-denial party in power.
I'd rather have a party which isn't ran by fucktard policies, immature ideals or the ideal of privatise everything because that's clearly gonna help us in power that can screw everything up but frankly we're quite limited on those.
To be honest, I don't think much of the stuff they envisage is that far-fetched (riots yes, probably not race riots though). However, actually making it about UKIP and not just having some random expy party just turns it into a bit of a smear, which is what all the parties have been trying to do anyway :v:
Are we all forgetting this is Channel 4? The same people who brought us Big Fat Gypsy Weddings and other cringe worthy bullshit like Benefits Street

I am really really really not a fan of UKIP (imo they're one very small step up from the BNP), but I still find it a bit silly that Channel 4 decided to do this.
I enjoyed it, it was clear it wasn't going to be serious or realistic, but it was a good one-off drama.
I found it really naff and mediocre, and I detest UKIP
Near the end, there was a bit where suddenly there are patriotic parades and festivals and shit all over Britain; did the people that wrote this ever live in this country, nevermind on this planet?

He's right. Well in a way.
I see articles about saying schools are too white, when someone says London is too islamic, they suddenly end up being hung from a street lamp.
This hivemind of far left who attack whites and get the attention brings up an army of the far right in the youth. Its bound to happen. It happened in 1933.
But the neonazi lingo isnt a good way to make that comment have a point.
Whats actually bad about UKIP in the first place that made someone go and make this? I dont actually know since im American.

they're a pretty unremarkable party but everyone seems to hate them because every other week the media calls them racist.

As far as I know, they're kinda the default "If you're white and don't very much like the brown people, tick here" party.
Was an hour of pure anti-ukip propaganda. Supporter or not thats what it was.
The scariest thing about Ukip is they plan to fuck over every last utility we have control of and people thinking they won't be as Corrupt as Cameron are really deluding themselves, either way RIP NHS :(
I love the scene where it shows right wing protestors waving the Israeli flag.
Interesting to note that it started to get complaints before even airing

Sorry, what utilities are these supposed to be? Easily the scariest thing about UKIP as a main political party are their unvetted, inexperienced candidates who actually have a shot at getting elected to parliament or local councils.

Well you must love believing everything you read then. For someone like me, the main reason I'd vote for them is so the EU can stop pillaging Britain.

I doubt London is 95% minorities, though.

But the EU doesn't pillage the UK as how the media glorifies it, in fact its more the opposite thanks to the open trade between EU countries. However it does have the issue of where we've got a higher standard of living than other EU countries and some choose to abuse the open EU border laws then abuse our benefit system, however that number is a lot smaller than everyone thinks but its still a big chunk of our money getting used the wrong way.
Next is our previous and current government have made EU recommendations actual law, something that shouldn't have been done because they were never required to be made law because they were fucking recommendations.
If we leave the EU we lose open trading with EU countries, free travel between EU countries, healthcare insurance in other EU countries (EHIC) and a load of other quite big bonuses that the EU provides, if we fully leave you can certainly expect the price of imported and core goods to go up by quite a lot because the EU will stop supplying us unless we come to an agreement with them, or become a member of the European Free Trade Association and proceed to continue trading with the EU like how Norway and Switzerland does (granted Switzerland isn't actually participating on paper, they just have their own free trade agreements with the EU).
Yes the EU takes a chunk of the countries money but that's how these systems work, all the countries that are members contribute to the bigger pot and then its all dealt out to the members that need it, think of it like a larger scale of funding given to councils, downside is the EU allowed countries with bad economic records and corruption in so shits gone down hill on how that's all handled.
Overall UKIP is just going around the wrong way to get the same result and riding off the media hype train they've been getting which I don't blame them, free publicity. I personally wouldn't vote for them even if I have a stick the length of the sun and back but that's me, I don't agree with their methods they have in plan and I really dislike how they can't be honest but then again, honesty doesn't exactly flow in our political system as we've found out with the coalition government heh.
As far as I know, they're kinda the default "If you're white and don't very much like the brown people, tick here" party.
That's the BNP and they need to just outright vanish, if there's any party in the UK that represents the "skinhead" stereotype it is that one, so racist they got their promotion video fully censored by Ofcom then taken down, 5 times on youtube for violating the TOS.
I went into it expecting it to be like that movie C.S.A: Confederate State of America or that drama Channel 4 did a few years ago during a nationwide blackout.
Instead I got was a trite soap opera with a High School level of understanding of British Politics

The production company claimed that it was largely based in public opinion, as UKIP's policies are so vague
