It would be better to take the infinite universe of no mans sky and combine it with sim earth, have your lizard people leave the planet and conqueror the stars..

I did some skulking around to see if he did an interview or had a twitter or blog where he talked about NMS. I didn't find anything but I did find that Will Wright used to compete in illegal street races.

I tried googling around too. Last bit of news from him was his social-media-photo-sharing-app-thing that was an absolute flop. His "viewer-created" TV show got canceled and so did Current TV. His Stupid-Fun-Club is no longer around.
He apparently is now a chairman for Linden Labs, though, so he's off with Second Life folks, I guess. Maybe he's working on [i]Third[/i] Life, eh?

it sucks that game's development pretty much made him quit, he was one of my fav game designers
I wish someone would just remake this game with some more modern veneer. I used to love playing this - so classic and cozy.
