I just watched Mulholland Drive (Alternate title: David Lynch makes fucked up movies)

What a weird movie. Can someone explain to me what the fuck happened.

My interpretation:
[sp]I think that Diane went batshit insane when she found out that Camilla was going to marry the director, so she hired a hitman to kill her. She became overcome with guilt so either the first 2 thirds of the film are her dreams, or hallucinations. Anyway the dreams are her perfect world to her where her and Camilla (Bettey and Rita) are the perfect lovers. I guess some time later she became overridden with guilt and commited suicide.
