believing aliens exist is your hypothesis, and isn't wrong (nor right!) until proven otherwise. HOWEVER, in his example looking at a streak in the sky and shouting "the aliens are coming!" is trying to jump to 'correct/incorrect' without experiment or evidence, so basing further beliefs such as alien UFO sightings and claims of visits based on blurry images is dangerous territory and remains unprovable (and bullshit) until someone can finally drag it out of hypothesis limbo with raw evidence.

You can blindly believe a lot of things, but if something is disproved, you can't really believe it exists anymore. Aliens are in that grey area of "you can't disprove or prove they exist" because there isn't evidence going either way.
He kept using the words "theory" and "hypothesis" interchangeably. That's my only issue with the video.

the only way you can bypass the method is if observation is the final test. You can confirm a thing is a thing, but that's usually based on prior knowledge that had to experiment and verify it in the first place.
