The official Batman V Superman game.
Better than the movie

Did the movie suck ass or something?
Did the movie suck ass or something?
It's three movies with potential ruined by being packed in a single insipid mess.

apparently the general public didn't mind it tho
Is it weird that I kinda want to see Rocksteady make a DC basketball game now?
the consensus is this: if you're a hardcore dc fan with a deep knowledge of the lore, you'll love it.
if you're an average moviegoer, it's dogshit.
i saw it with a dc fan and he gave it a 9. i only know maybe a bit more dc lore than your average joe and i'd give it a 3.

As a hardcore dc fan I absolutely fucking hated the movie

He probably gave it a 9 due to buyer's (viewer's ?) remorse.
As someone who knows a lot of things about comics and such I found the movie aggravating even more than if I knew nothing because it break some fundamental aspects of the characters but doesn't build anything on that. It just randomly decides to have the characters break their own rules and refuses to dwell on the issue all while pretending to have deeper moral ambiguity which is never developed, only mentioned a couple of times.
As a person who generally is meh to comic book movies, I really liked it.
I loved the movie, bite me Rusty

It was way overhyped. People were expecting a masterpiece instead of an alright superhero film.
Really, if you saw Man of Steel and other work by Zach Snyder and were expecting anything more than what we got then it's your own fault.
Way better than Man of Steel, not great though.
[editline]27th March 2016[/editline]
The first half and p much every Batman/Ben Affleck part is good then it steadily goes downhill from there up until the Wonder Woman reveal, which should be in spoiler tags but fuck it the marketing team already let that cat out of the bag. They let every cat out of the bag.

Overhyping?
Atleast on this forums, it seemed like all hate and skepticism.

Suckerpunch and 300 were pretty good films, but then they weren't working with a firmly established set of characters/lore.

Give me a break, that piece of shit ? And just don't tell me "You didn't get it."
Give me a break, that piece of shit ? And just don't tell me "You didn't get it."
It's good for the fight scenes. And for crazy hot women (literally).
Frankly to me Batman vs. Superman really highlighted that what Zack Snyder is good at is action. Not action movies themselves, but just action. He can make awesome fight scenes and kickass vehicles and such. But his directing outside of that is just mediocre. The good parts of the film were the fight scenes. 300, to many his Magnum Opus, was literally just one prolong fight scene. Watchmen was the only one that he did that was good for more than its fight scenes, and that's not particularly because of him. Suckerpunch was atrocious except for the fighting, the action of it. That's where Zack Snyder shines, he can make good action scenes, but that's about it. Seriously, the man needs to change his lighting and color pallet. I'm pretty sure the man is using the same lighting arrangement in every film.
Soundtrack was pretty good tho

Suckerpunch was 3-4 fantasy action scenes seperated by dreary filler trying to be clever
300 was an inaccurate but well told historical story
Batman vs Superman is a collection of over the top fight scenes with a comical amount of explosions seperated by a plot that moves on so fast it gives almost no time to characterise anyone or really explore anyone's motives - you're left wondering exactly why Lex Luthor even bothers, and less so why Batman is being so impulsive. Wonder Woman has what, 10-15 lines in the entire movie? It feels like she has been shoved in without much rhyme or reason.
I saw a few reviewers remark that Batman vs. Superman feels more like a montage of trailers for other movies than it does a movie itself. Which, when you realize just how fucking much they tease the other characters they are making movies about, it a not inaccurate remark to make.

Honestly, I would love to see a movie set in the alternate world of Suckerpunch, just make something set entirely in that, with the over-top action scenes and such. No bullshit real world, none of that. The fantasy/sci-fi world needs to be the only thing in that movie.
You can't argue that it's not a blatantly rushed film. It was taking too long to make and DC just wanted that delicious Avengers money ASAP so they greenlit what they had.
It would help if they didn't throw everything in one movie and [sp]made it so they magically put aside differences at the end thus making the entire conflict redundant.[/sp]
Also the hints to the Injustice storyline are as red herring as it gets. They've got a whole bunch of films to go before that would be possible and by then they'll hope people forget or worse, they just stop making movies.
The plot is a rat's nest of contrivances and the characters talk in abstracts and symbols and never actually talk about the thing they're talking about,([sp]I'm 70% sure they use 'God' to refer to Superman more times than they use 'Superman' to refer to Superman.[/sp]) and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is a cringing autist who should be doing a Minecraft Let's Play instead of trying to kill Superman.
Reviewers say that it feels like a montage of trailers because that's how it's filmed. Every shot is so buttfucked with desaturation and depth of field and wide-angle lensing that gives every shot the exact same amount of weighty and suggestive self-seriousness that it becomes literally exhausting to watch.
Never has brainless blockbuster action schlock been so lost up its own ass before Batman vs. Superman.
Oh yeah Eisenberg's Luthor is absolute garbage.
as a critical standpoint B V S is awful. As a B V S movie that shows Batman fighting Superman its great.
So I watched the Half in the Bag episode covering this.
The reason Batman stops whooping him is so fucking stupid I'm not sure how anyone can defend it or enjoy it. Like there's a lot of bad shit in this movie but that was fucking pathetic and the biggest evidence of this being rushed into production.

Shame the actual batman fighting superman scene is 10 minutes, surrounded with pointless shit.

All they had to do was keep copying TDKR and have Batman just beat up Superman to make a point, not to kill him.
But then again they got half the story backwards. It could easily be rearranged to solve it but it's fucked due to the nonsensical order of the scenes.

It humanized Super-Man. Batman wasn't about to execute an alien threat, he was about to rob a mother of her son.
It's clumsy and the following alliance was rushed after so much tension between the two had been built up, but it wasn't really that bad in the context of the film. Definitely not the worst bit.

All the Batman scenes were fucking great. Affleck kills it in this movie, and I was someone who had absolutely not optimism for the casting choice.
People (RLM included) rag on him for how many people he kills but it fits the theme of the movie. Batman at this point is just tired. He states in the movie that criminals are like weeds. He doesn't even see them as humans any more. He has lost so much and doesn't really believe in anything anymore. So he doesn't go out of his way to make his job harder by making sure every henchman survives. Especially when there is so much to lose when he believes Super-Man will scorch the planet.

Pun intended?
It humanized Superman. There are flaws in the scene but treating it as if it was the worst thing in the movie or history or cinema is just looking at things on a surface level.
It's an absolutely fucking terrible way to end a fight they literally built up the entire movie on.
Like sure bringing it up in a conversation and having batman go "wow the fucking alien god from the sky has parents too" would have been fine as part of character development but here it's the fucking magic word that turns a homicidal maniac into superman's best friend in a matter of seconds.
It humanized Superman. There are flaws in the scene but treating it as if it was the worst thing in the movie or history or cinema is just looking at things on a surface level.
After Superman consistently acts like an asshole and the majority of the movies is meant ot build up this hatred Batman is supposed to forgive him over something as stupid as that? Along with the fact that Batman had no issue killing a shit ton of other people it's a bullshit attempt at depth.
Why spend a whole movie on this rivalry just to autocorrect it in a matter of seconds? Oh right because having meaningful events that cause permanent changes is ~too smart~ for audiences.
I never said it was the worst thing ever but it is prime evidence along with everything else in the movie that this was a careless endeavor.
