Its vampire season
it would suck if that attacked you
Hahaha, what in the fuck.
There are actually quite a few deer species that have sabre teeth, most notably the water deer:

Wonder if they taste different.
So do these deer kill other deer and drink their blood?
They look cool as fuck.
Imagine being some ancient tribal warlord and you raised Killer fanged Deer to attack your foes en-mass

Hopefully they avoid headlights instead of running at them.
fucking cute :3
If it wasn't for the fact that most fanged deer species are highly endangered, I'd totally go hunting for one, and have a full body taxidermy of it. It's one of those species that deserve some form of trophy and museum like viewing.
Hopefully they avoid headlights instead of running at them.
Actually they lay in the road on their dying day and wait for a car. They use their fangs to pop your tires. That way they can take a human with them. Damn vampire deers.
Imagine how scary the ticks on a fanged deer look.
/cause fanged deer look creepy and deer have ticks and it would be funny if fanged deer had fanged ticks on them, funny in a creepy way
Only the male musk deer have fangs, which they use during breeding season to battle for mates
So they're effectively like horns/antlers?
Hopefully they avoid headlights instead of running at them.
That will be fixed in the next patch.
the tusks on deer actually fill the same role as antlers for sexual selection and other uses. Ancient deer used to exclusively utilize tusks, until they were slowly switched out in favor of antlers. Like somebody said earlier, ungulates like the water deer still have these traits.
I thought musk deer were fanged too. And aren't they pretty common in parts of Asia?
...Deer hunt you
:tinfoil:
I have an idea.
Let's shoot it and post pictures of it on Facebook :)
Seriously tho. Glad no fucking 11 year old got at it
oh deer

imho killing a living being simply for use as a trophy is despicable
If you kill a handful and put them up for public display it is not the same as having a dead animal with a retarded expression above your fireplace. If you cannot see the difference or have difficulty understanding the difference, I suggest a careful study of both apples and oranges.
Why couldn't one just take a picture of the animal and upload it to google or something? I don't get it.
I mean if it's killed during population control or something along those lines I'd be fine with it, but simply killing it for display seems p. unnecessary to me.
