A Polish man living in Germany spent five years with a bullet in the back of his head having forgotten he was shot because he was drunk when it happened. They said the man recalled receiving a blow to the head around midnight at a New Year's Eve party "in 2004 or 2005". It is thought it might have been a stray bullet fired in celebration. "It may have been a shot fired up in the air which entered his head on the way down," a police spokesman told reporters on Tuesday. "He told us he remembered having a sore head, but that he wasn't really one for going to the doctor." The man, who has lived in Germany for several years, is expected to be released from hospital later this week. The bullet, which was lodged in his scalp and did not penetrate his skull, was removed on Friday.
Source Not even Aspirin could help with that.
Taking 'I'll get you a shot!' too far?
but the BLOOD!?
Looks like someone outsmarted boolet.
as is life in warsaw (yes I know he lives in germany)
Jesus Christ.
lucky man. he should be glad he's not dead by now.
Yeah I'm polish and we get that a lot.
Yeah I'm polish and we get that a lot.
Where do you live in Poland?
that is like heavy when he takes a sniper bullet to the head and keeps on ticking
I wonder if the fact he was drunk had any help in keeping him alive initially. Probably prevented shock
this hardcore motherfucker has given us basically the definition of "and not a single fuck was given this day"
but the BLOOD!?
It got stuck in his skull, sealing off blood vessels etc
.22? Pffft, real men find 150mm artillery shells in their head.
Where do you live in Poland?
Pruszków.
this hardcore motherfucker has given us basically the definition of "and not a single fuck was given this day"
Someone look for the picture of this Polish man and put that Text there.
I bet he got shot in the part of his brain that remembered being shot. :smug:
Pruszków.
Ostrow Maz FTW :smug:
What a hardass.
Talk about "too drunk and stupid to notice you're dead"... [editline]09:51PM[/editline]
that is like heavy when he takes a sniper bullet to the head and keeps on ticking
Jaki kozak :v:
I would put that bullet on a chain and wear it.
He just took cover for 7 seconds and wound almost disappears
Uhh, don't underestimate .22, they are small and have insane penetration abilities [editline]09:17PM[/editline] Was it .22 LR, SR or MAG?:raise:
Probably LR. It's the most common bullet on the planet, and one of the least lethal. Yeah, they're small, but .22LR has very poor penetration. Past ten meters or so, it won't penetrate the skull.
Always amazed when things like these happen.
The size/power ratio is pretty impressive, though.
That it is. And the cost is just amazing. I did the math once, and if you buy in bulk, it's cheaper to shoot .22s than it is to shoot airsoft.
thank god the shot wasn't powered up all the way
.22 has trouble killing rabbits on occasion. Seems understandable. Impressive that it didn`t cause a more serious injury, though.
Hey, I saw that in this morning's newspaper.
but the BLOOD!?
It really just penetrated his scalp. It probably bled no worse than a nosebleed, and he was drunk at the time so yeah.
