I don't know if this deserves to be called news, so I will just leave this here. http://www.kval.com/news/local/After-confrontation-with-students-UO-instructors-classes-reassigned-198500331.html Apparently a Law Professor at the university I attend interrupted a protest by a student group called "Student's against Imperialism". He got a bit too heated in his argument and ended up with all the students calling harassment at him. He was then fired and banned from the campus. I think he makes a good point about how useless these small protests are. If these people want to make a difference they should go out and do something instead of protesting where nobody is paying any attention to them. Unfortunately in Oregon anyone speaking their mind in an intelligent manner is labeled as threatening and harassing. Maybe I missed something, but when the majority of people seem to think he was in the wrong while it seems as if the students are the ones causing trouble... I don't know what to think about the U.S. anymore. Am I being unreasonable? I don't know. Comments?
jesus that professor was ready to fuck shit up god damn
this reminds me of a penn and teller bullshit episode.
He certainly got too heated about it, regardless if what he was saying was right or not he went about it the wrong way.
Talk shit get hit. Is there a part 1 for this?
Where is the rest of the video? Something must have triggered his rage
Unfortunately there is no part 1. The students claim he was shouting racist things at him and then they started recording.
