New Top Gear line-up to include US actor Matt Le Blanc as Chris Evans' co-presenter, BBC announces
I might actually give it a go now, Matt is a pretty cool guy.
I did not expect this
I'm surprised they're announcing the lineup so late, it's meant to be starting in May
Is he going to drive the reasonably priced car in every episode?
What.
Well, at least there's something interesting happening with the new Top Gear :v:
As far as I know he's a car enthusiast so this will be better than choosing Chris.
Bit of a shock, but I remember he was so good in his lap that they flew him out just to run the first lap of one of the Reasonably Priced Cars.

Chris isn't a car enthusiast?

He likes cars.
But he gets car sick.
He bought a 63 Ferrari for 12 million a few years ago and has a pretty nice collection of cars. (Well he did before he sold a bunch of them a few years ago)
Okay, well, that restores some of the hope for this.
Great guy but i am still not convinced. The most important part is how the two/three will react on eachother much like how the old trio did it.
I'll just let it float and wait till the episodes come around but i got zero expecations.
remember that this is the guy who managed to beat mr.bean's time in reasonably priced car by 0.1 sec

Matt Le blanc is a pretty neat driver

There needs to be a good rapport between them, if they have the right chemistry it could work. They need good scriptwriting too, Leblanc is an actor not a presenter. Next they should add someone who is great at standup like Billy Connelly. He can't drive or jump about any more but he sure as hell is still funny

There was a trailer for him from January 18th

This is how I see things going. Evans, Leblanc and a third person are hosting the new series.
Ratings drop, people have a go at Evans for being the turd he is. Evans gets mardy and quits the show.
Leblanc and the other person stays and they replace Evans with someone else.
Show picks up a little but never as successful as before.

That still doesn't mean he's not a car enthusiast.
Oh shit, that's pretty cool.

Chris is one of those people who buys a car and keeps it in a garage and doesn't use it, even cheap ones.
He's not an enthusiast, he's a collector. Big difference.

You're right.
IMO Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) would have been better.
OK BBC....I'm listening.
I love LeBlanc

Jay Kay would be great, he's probably the biggest enthusiast in the UK.
Oh. That was unexpected. Might give it some kind of shot now.

He is about as interesting as his music though. It would of been good for insomniacs if he was chosen.

Just look at the dork though

He's just not cool anymore . He was cool back in the 90's hosting The Big Breakfast and he's a decent DJ but damn he just doesn't fit Top Gear.
I would laugh it Amazon released their Top gear on the same time and day as when the BBC airs their first episode
