[release]A new telephone survey from Rasmussen Reports finds that 49% in Colorado support the idea of legalizing and taxing marijuana.
39% said they don't support legalization.
The survey, conducted May 10, coincides with Governor Ritter's signing of HB 1284, the contentious legislation that would place regulations on the burgeoning medical marijuana industry.
Rasmussen found that men were more likely than women to support legalization. Democrats were also more likely than Republicans to support the idea of legalizing and taxing pot.
Rasmussen conducted a similar poll a year ago on the national level in which 41% supported the idea of legalizing marijuana to help solve the country's fiscal problems.
The poll conducted in Colorado had a 4.5% margin for error.

And 41% support it nationwide. America, you're on the right track.
Doesn't the Government understand the money they can get from taxing pot?
alcohol kills but it's legal, so yeah why not
tax it, destroy the cartels
what can go wrong?
conservative noobs
I triple dog dare you to legalize pot, Obama.
Can Britain please hurry up too, hopefully the new government will see the huge tax potential....
There, we'll see it done in a week. You can't step down from a triple dog dare.
I wonder how many of them were high when they took the survey
Wait, are they putting it on the ballot in Colorado too now?

I was thinking about this earlier. If the US had a bill that was going to legalize weed, or even all drugs, mightn't the cartels realize that it would fuck them over and pull Mexican-style murders and shit in the US to tell us not to?
I would support legalized weed though.
51% of Coloradans just don't get Pink Floyd's music.

Except if a bill like that passed they'd lose all their funding.

For real?
All of Pink Floyd's music can be enjoyed without drugs.
Really, the only reason that joke got started was their psychedelic rock period.
Knocking it before listening to it is a really bad idea.
I mean, if a bill were proposed that would legalize it and it actually had a chance of passing.
:350:
Keep it illegal that shit smells awful

Guess Dopesmoker or Electric Wizard would be a better joke.

oops
The funny thing is, my state is a large producer of it, and if it's legalized here, we could tax it and make a buttload of cash.

I've never smoked weed, but I've smelled it in the bathrooms before. Air was thick, people were probably smoking, like a couple minutes before
Smells kinda nice IMO

The best weed is the real stanky stuff.
Legalize it, use tax for health care, profit.

If it's used for medical purposes your just going too put more pot into the cartels hands.
If it's used for non-medical purposes you just going too have legal drug dealers going around school yards selling pot to kids.

How do you know that that's not already happening?

I know it's already happening. The fact is though with an open market to pot your just going to see more issues boiling from it.
Or in the best way of saying it... Trying to put out a fire with another fire.
