finally, my two favorite cooking channels make a collab
Finally a Hannibal dish. I recommend reading this interview with Janice Poon, Hannibal's food stylist, for interesting tidbits about how they fake the grisly stuff
But for the dinner scenes, you usually have to fake the organs because they can spoil on set. How do you plan around that? When Hannibal says this is lamb tongue, the audience knows it’s people tongue. So it has to look like person’s tongue, and a bit like lamb’s tongue, but I don’t want the actors to suffer from eating lamb tongue dozens of times if they aren’t comfortable with it. So it has to be innocuous and easy to eat and look like lamb tongues while it’s some molded polenta thing. That’s the triple-layered deception of the food on Hannibal. It isn’t even what it says it isn’t.
https://www.gq.com/story/hannibal-food-stylist-interview
All the YouTubers I subscribe to these days seem to end up collaborating with each other or at least mentioning each other. And it's awesome.
my gram gram used to make me marrow like that
