[quote]A couple are celebrating after their third child was born at 7:43 - exactly the same time as their two older children were born, several years apart.
According to hospital records, all three siblings from Salford, Greater Manchester, were coincidentally born at 7:43 - beating odds of 300 million to one.
The rare occurrence comes after parents Matt Rigby and partner Lowry Dairsley celebrated the arrival of Harrison at 7:43am on 20 January.
Harrison's older sisters Ella and Evie were born at 7:43am in October 2005 and 7:43pm on Boxing Day 2007.
Lowry, 26, told The Sun newspaper last night: "When we found I was pregnant with Harrison we joked that it would be incredible if the same happened. When I went into hospital at 5pm on Wednesday we forgot about it and concentrated on the labour."
"At 6.30am I felt the urge to push and when we next looked at the clock it was 7.41am.I was asked to wait for the next contraction by the midwife before she delivered him two minutes later. The doctors and midwives were speechless."
Stunned father, Matt, 31, has a tattoo with the numbers 7 4 3 on his arm and added: "I looked up at the clock and it was 7.43. We couldn't believe the coincidence."

Wow that's amazing. There was only a 1 in 2,073,600 chance of something that fantastically inane happening.

Yeah, like, the inanity on this is so incredible.
I thought it meant the child was born 7ft 3inches.

If we're assuming that there's an equal chance for birth at any given minute, the likelihood that the second baby is born at the same time as the first one is 1:(24*60) = 1:1440. For it to happen twice in a row (meaning three kids born at the same time), the probability becomes (1:(24*60))^2 = 1:2073600.
However we can't even make that assumption - births probably don't occur evenly around the clock.

It's true that the under the assumption that all minutes are as likely, three kids born at 7:43 am would have a probability of 1:2985984000. However that particular hour and minute appear random, so it doesn't matter when the first kid is born - as long as the two other kids are born at the same time as the first one was.
So what, men take dumps at the same time everyday like clockwork

I beg to differ, I had to waddle back to the computer just now.
Actually, its more like the doctor noticed what time the first kid was born, looked at his watch, and decided to wait until 7:43 to deliver the second one. Same thing with the third one. It happens a lot actually, doctors will fuck with birth times because it makes parents feel special.

Go to 40 seconds in and watch, you'll get your explanation.

Media City UK ;) That's going to be amazing.
7 X 43 = 301
4 / 2 = 2
301 X 2 = 602
602 + 43 = 645
7 X 3 = 21
645 + 21 = 666
It's the apocalypse !!!!!
This was the subject of an editorial in today's Sun.
This would make an awesome movie about 3 devils that will rule the world.

Perhaps they factored in things like average distribution of birth times and how much control of women had over when she gave birth.
Uh, does this really qualify as news?
My brother and I are born on the same day, 7 years apart. Not the exact time though :frown:
