Filmed spring - summer of 07.
This is the step by step making of a hand crafted one of a kind pattern welded yet simply designed sword, Dohrtoc.
This sword was forged by David DelaGardelle.
Note: The Mad Dwarf Workshop was a swordsmithing endeavor operating from 2003 to 2012 and has now ended.
The sword in question is actually quite beautiful, and the guy who made it appears very young.
I know it would probably take decades to master and years to even begin creating your own quality sword/weapon/tool, and don't get me wrong;
I would absolutely LOVE to get into metallurgy, but I haven't the faintest idea on how to even start.
Sadly; where I live there's next to nothing that's even compared to working with metal.
These videos are relevant, in the sense that they make a sword from scratch, but it's not the same guy and he uses different techniques.

makes me want to play Skyrim
Shame the workshop closed down.
By the looks of this, they seem very professional in traditional sword making.
I'm... not really liking the sword that the guy in the second video made.

Oh God I really want a Gränsfors Bruks axe now...
Pretty good, considering it's a [sp]forgery[/sp]
