This is all interresting, but sadly the burden of proof stands in the way :)
Reality is whatever the hell you want to call it
Shame the rest of his channel is filled with top 10 videos.

I don't even know what the point of this post is, since a large portion of modern science are theories, which by definition aren't proven, but have a lot of supporting evidence suggesting it's a fact. Even the big bang theory isn't proven, but we can't just write it off because of that.
Philosophy, spirituality and study of metaphysics are being torn apart from modern day culture due to the rationalization of society. Secularization is only good for government. Applying practical rationality to everything is a burden to the mind, as much as there is a 'burden for proof' for conjecture. It is dubious to believe everything needs an immediate explanation. Inductive reasoning is the birth of fascinating theories and worldviews. I fear for the impact of the atheist agenda, sure I support getting rid of Bible thumping social policies, but to the degradation of creative introspection and free thinking society is turning into a shitshow where people are knocked down for believing in a greater good. Anyways, I may give this a watch, thanks for sharing.
EDIT: Person who rated me dumb, is the type of person who needs a video documentary comparing real life to the matrix to understand that there are alternate realities, despite the physics community already communicating such information.

So you're saying we should throw the scientific method out the window and instead start ~believing~?
Wow I actually think you're right, what if all the flat earthers, evolution deniers, climate change deniers, spirit "scientists" and other ~new age~ crackpots were seen as very reliable sources of information, and were allowed to just randomly declare whatever new piece of science fiction/fantasy they came up with as the ~~truth~~. I bet our knowledge of the world and technological progression would fly through the roof.
This may not at all be the message you're trying to convey, and in that case I'm sorry for misunderstanding your post.
What do you mean with "the atheist agenda"? Being an atheist = You don't believe in any gods, that's it. An atheist is just as capable of being irrational as a non-atheist. I've met many atheists who, while they may not believe in any gods, believe in strange new-ageist ideas. Actually, just take Sweden as an example, the vast majority of the population is either atheist or agnostic, but lots of people still believe in ghosts, "energy fields", quantum healing and other such nonsense. I don't claim to be some sort of genius, there's lots of shit I don't understand and I hold many beliefs of my own, but I won't oppose the work of people several times smarter than me just because it's too complex for my (in comparison) simple mind, nor will I start claiming that any of the beliefs in my head should be seen as valuable assets to the understanding of reality.
There's nothing wrong with free thinking or being religious, the problems arise when you start announcing your beliefs as the truth, or when you start exploiting people by feeding them bullshit so that they give you their money, I.E; Mediums.
And, " Person who rated me dumb, is the type of person who needs a video documentary comparing real life to the matrix to understand that there are alternate realities"
While this video isn't a documentary, you're some sort of authority when it comes to the existence of multiple realities?
I was first exposed to the idea of multiple universes through Half-Life when I was like 6, and I've since been fascinated by the concept, does that somehow automagically make me an expert on the subject? Not really, apart from elementary and highschool physics classes, my higher education only really covered further explanation of physics regarding electricity and thermodynamics. The truth is that no-one, not even the most competent of physicists have any actual idea as of yet, apart from just that, concepts and hypotheses. But you somehow have all the understanding required to know? What are you waiting for then, there's a nobel prize with your name on it
60 fps needs to be the norm for youtube videos, some of the visuals were just too good.
I find it a bit curious that he uses the choice of the red pill for his intro, and during his outro asks basically ask "why would any species continue to pioneer reality when simulation would be so much better?"
This is all interresting, but sadly the burden of proof stands in the way :)
He talks about infinite regress rendering his speculation scientifically irrelevant halfway through the video, and adds that he just appreciate the thought experiment from a philosophical point of view. In his ending section he reinforces this perspective by saying it's just "fun to think about" for him.
60 fps needs to be the norm for youtube videos, some of the visuals were just too good.
For game videos it's pretty much already the norm but the problem is that films have their own standard fps, which is like 29.98 or something. Most non-game videos probably follow that standard.

Science is inductive reasoning by definition though...
If you guys really think I meant throw rationality out of the window don't get it and totally misunderstood me.
What does atheism have to do with all of that? Nothing.
But it's clear there's a present mentality in most, that if something doesn't appear practical, it must not be true.
Science is inductive reasoning by definition though...
So is philosophical matters.
I wasn't saying science isn't inductive, I'm saying inductive reasoning grows it and more abstract ideas.
The more inductive science is, the more possibilities it can reach and test for truth.
And why do I feel like I'm getting seen as a believer, or Christian?
May I point out that I'm not religious, and instead am entertained by metaphysical schools of thought and am not just a nutjob that needs a breaking news article to believe something?
There are people who don't believe in anything and spend time not thinking of the unknown. And there are people who don't believe in anything however spend time thinking of everything unknown. I am happily the latter.
Sure, go ahead and disregard.
Don't have a complex just used to criticism by people who don't agree with me.
It's rather useless to state a differing opinion on here, nobody really tends to think beyond limits they set for themselves.
But then again fp is a bunch of kids.
