Quite bonkers design for hotel rooms, but I'd appreciate that. Part of me wishes western society had the same level of diversity and tendency to appeal to really niche interests, no matter how quirky they may be.
:speechless:
:sex101:
I want one. Not even to just bone, me and my SO would just chill out and see the crazy rooms.

Seriously that place is luxurious as fuck
I tend to see the Japanese people as pretty shy, especially when it comes to sex or intimacy but yet they got these love hotels :v:

precisely why they're so discreet. i mean, look at the outside of that hotel
Imagine these being cheaper than actual hotel rooms...not THAT'D be a twist. I wonder if there is a difference aside from the [sp]creepy animal loft and peeping sections.[/sp]
Why the fuck are we westerners such pussies about sex? This is fucking awesome

these exist in a lot of countries. it's just hard to tell unless you're actively looking for one

Western society doesn't have a privacy issue.
though i don't know if they're this over-the-top

I bet they're a lot harder to find, and more expensive

I mean he said around ~$120 per night, that's about average for hotels here.

The one I'm staying at in August is about ten dollars more expensive. Jeezus that's kind of a steal for a room as eloquent as that.

the food and booze is also cheaper. that plate of fried chicken he had was 300 yen which is under $3 USD.all that food he ordered was probably less than $15
Western society doesn't have a privacy issue.
Could you elaborate?
Do you mean we don't need things like love hotels because westerners typically have homes with plenty of space to boink in private?

Yeah, and multi-generational homes are much rarer (unless you live near the Mediterranean). There are plenty of ordinary hotels where you could bring in an escort and the owners would just look the other way, Japan (especially cities like Tokyo) are so busy and huge in size and population that there can feasibly be a genuine market for these elaborate love hotels.
For $120 US I can't get a hotel room nearly that nice around here. Part of that is the tourist-trappy Summer season price gouging, but still, damn.
wonder what it must be like having to clean up these love hotel rooms
Wow there is a big book of girlfriends thats a great idea
Staying in one sounds neat! And sometimes disturbing!
cheap rooms, cheap food and drink, and every crevice of every room is designed for boning
what's not to love (hotel)?
Someone should take a black light and see what they find :v:
TBH some of those rooms just look straight-up comfy as fuck
it's kind of confusing to think of what exactly half this shit would be used for...

the first half is getting the room, the second half is learning what to do with it.
this guys channel is bloody amazing, if japan wasn't so unfriendly to american tourists i'd love to visit

Where'd you get that impression? Japan is super friendly to westerners.
Imagine these being cheaper than actual hotel rooms...not THAT'D be a twist.
Usually they are, unless it's a super crazy room
I went to one of these in Ikebukuro with my girlfriend, the way the whole service is set up is incredibly convenient, especially since I live in a shared house with really thin walls. We were both slightly drunk though so we couldn't figure out the fully japanese-language pay machine at first until the little old lady who works there came up and told us we pay when we exit. for some reason apparently these places are always staffed by little old ladies

there's no problem at all being an american tourist here, especially in Tokyo. My girlfriend's american and she lived here for nine months without being treated badly once

Just don't be a dick to the local population and try to be respectful that it's a culture totally different from your own and I doubt you'd have a bad time.
Basically, don't act like America in Polandball.

Whenever my Dad went to Japan for business, he loved it there, and always talks about wanting to go back whenever he can.
