Okay, this first started as an attempt to model a mountain, I don't think I was very successfull with the mountain but oh well.
This is not quite finished IMO, but I couldn't find anywhere else to go with it, so I decided to put it here. This is an irnonic situation about the global warming(figure it out :P)

Looks amazing. The bottom of the earth could be ever so slightly lit though in my opinion. Oh and the cracks could do with a bit of depth. Still it is awesome.:h:
Yeah I have to agree about the cracks, but it's hard to do depth with something that is completely black, thanks!
Lighten them bro
I dont know anything about 3D but maybe you could model the crack and put lighting down there
And I think the transition between light and dark should be a littler longer / wider
I came in expecting a picture of a war in candyland with the main characters from candyland getting blown up or being killed in gruesome ways. I am disappointed with this.
Other then that great job looks great so far.
Great, now Finland blew up.
Cracks look like shit, why are they there before and are they new breed of dustless cracks? Earth is not a sphere, by the way.

You're just being picky now. The bulge on the equator is very slight and if not directly comparing you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a sphere and an outline of the planet.
It's the little details.
Oh and the outline of a planet is too drawn out and plain. It looks like a render made in the beginning of 90's overall. It's all just bland and those little unlogical fireballs ruin it as a style.
I don't get it, where a giant nuclear explosion which is about half a planet in size, the fireballs are unlogical?
Also I didn't quite take realism and logic in mind here, and in most places, artworks, songs, logos, texts, books Earth is indeed a sphere.
I am aware that the cracks are shit and ive been trying to do something about it.
Thanks.

As much as 3v3ryb0dy makes me rage with his criticism, it's mostly true. If people didn't critique the little details, no-one would ever improve them.

Are you serious.

I highly disagree.

Thing is that sort of improvement would make no difference whatsoever and criticizing that just doesn't make sense.
Do you see a difference between the two shapes?

The one on the right is actually a trace of the photograph of Earth taken by Apollo 17, while the one on the left is a sphere.
There is no noticeable difference between the two and whether the earth he made is a sphere or slightly larger at the equator will not improve the picture or add anything to it, it's a useless remark to make.
also unlogical isn't a word

Yea this particular comment of his is completely wrong, then.
