I'm sad for watching all of this video.
This is like a really bad, cringey, hyper-preachy version of an Asimov story.
this is like something i'd see on adult swim at like 4 in the morning
This is like a really bad, cringey, hyper-preachy version of an Asimov story.
So its a standard Darkmatter2525 video then.
Wasn't as bad as the comments here made it seem.
how can you spend 7 years doing nothing but animated videos on atheism and not improve? Never once think that maybe you should consider what good storytelling means or learn how to make proper flash puppets that don't animate like johnny test
Anybody think this guy's animation style is weird?
I've drawn pictures when I was six that look better than his animation. Seriously, this guy's animation "style" looks so nauseating and uncanny that it hurts to look at.
how can you spend 7 years doing nothing but animated videos on atheism and not improve?
This is what happens when you are a pretentious self important asshole who thinks that you're the prophet of what people should and must believe.
Can you guys seriously stop bagging on his choice in animation? If you don't like it don't watch the videos, he enjoys it so he does it. Fucking non existent hell......
I must say his latest video is pretty meh, but it's part of a little series so if you didn't see the rest you don't really get it. Actually I think his earlier videos were pretty spot on. But I guess nobody is really interested in constructive criticism. Just "wow so edgy", "lol I cringed" and "his design is so weird"
how can you spend 7 years doing nothing but animated videos on atheism and not improve?
Can you guys seriously stop bagging on his choice in animation? If you don't like it don't watch the videos, he enjoys it so he does it.
"Stop criticizing someone I like!" Just because he likes it doesn't mean we have to.
Fucking non existent hell......
Careful there, your superiority complex is showing.
"Stop criticizing someone I like!"
You read every post in this thread and actually think it's real criticism? Wow..
You read every post in this thread and actually think it's real criticism? Wow..
Just because it's harsh or informal doesn't mean that it's not criticism.
Just because it's harsh or informal doesn't mean that it's not criticism.
It's not real criticism because it's not addressing the points he made.
He actually did improve very much if you actually took a second and looked at his older videos.
not 7 years worth of improvement. [editline]d[/editline] all he's really improved on are details, basic stuff like proportions or anatomy haven't really improved at all ...and there's so many free resources out there to learn how to make and animate flash rigs, there's no excuse for this
what a crime
It's not real criticism because it's not addressing the points he made.
But this is a short film, not just someone making an argument. There's more to criticise than the points being made.
This is like the atheist version of those cheesy Christian tv shows.
Like most of DarkMatter's videos, it's set with a premise with the potential to be really good, and instead gets overtaken by in-your-face rhetoric that has zero subtlety and stands out even more against the awkward animation. His videos could be amazing if he'd learn to resist the temptation to explain their message halfway through every time with generic cookie-cutter dialogue and animation. It's like, a bunch of clever ideas that get deliberately castrated by the same mistakes in presentation. Basically, a ton of wasted potential in my eyes.
Apparently this is just one part of a series. I'm dying
