A photo of Mr Steinbrueck on the front cover of a news magazine shows him giving the middle-finger gesture. On Twitter he said he was annoyed with journalists who confronted him with "yesterday's news".
Oh no, he did something mildly offensive. UNFIT FOR OFFICE.
Never stop being hilarious, Germany.
HES THE NEXT HITLER
Peer Steinbrück is a pretty capable man, I hope he doesn't get bashed on to much after this. The cover isn't even that provocative.
Quite a bad move in a preelection, especially around the scandal hungry press Germany has.
Quite a bad move in a preelection, especially around the scandal hungry press Germany has.
Well, it's not like they found him screwing his secretary, so he should be fine.
There is a direct correlation between the ability to raise one's middle finger and the inability of of political administration. :v:
Merkel is getting pretty fucked regarding popularity after the whole NSA thing.
It's been on the news all week already here. I personally think it is very amusing to see how all the rather conservative people rage about this. [sp]Still won't vote for his party tho[/sp]
Merkel is getting pretty fucked regarding popularity after the whole NSA thing.
Wouldn't say so, it will be a pretty tight race this year.
Merkel is getting pretty fucked regarding popularity after the whole NSA thing.
She is still a good politician in the eyes of population, it's not like everybody hates her now.
Merkel is getting pretty fucked regarding popularity after the whole NSA thing.
To be fair to the woman, what the hell was she going to do with the NSA knocking on her office door? Tell them to piss off?

Should be mentioned that Steinbrück racked up quite a few controversies prior to this.
Nevertheless it's quite a delicate matter, sometimes a leader has to make sacrifices in order to stay in business.
In that case she should've "sacrificed" a "fuck you" to the NSA
Wasn't Merkel a East German?
Wasn't Merkel a East German?
And a women! Double stigma!
Well, it's not like they found him screwing his secretary, so he should be fine.
I wouldn't be so sure about that actually. He got quite the negative reputation in press already because of some things he might've rather kept to himself a few months ago. I voted for him though because I don't like Mutti anymore, ever since she forgot my birthday :(
Quite a bad move in a preelection, especially around the scandal hungry press Germany has.
Well, it's not like Merkel wasn't going to win anyway.
