The story of Steven Seagal accompanying Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s raid on an Arizona man suspected of cock-fighting seems almost humorous. Almost, that is, until you think about police driving into your own home with a tank and killing your dog, which is what happened when Seagal drove a tank into Jesus Llovera’s house. Seagal told a local radio station that animal cruelty was one of his pet peeves, and since the bust was an animal cruelty bust – which apparently requires the use of several armored cars, a tank, and dozens of sheriff’s deputies in full riot gear – Seagal decided to go along for the ride…and kill hundreds of roosters and a puppy in the process.
So much for animal cruelty. It turns out, of course, that Seagal was just joining the ranks of reality TV stars, blending the line between reality and television, and the line between entertainment and justice. And now he’s being sued to the tune of $100,000 by Llovera, who is also demanding a written apology from Seagal to his children for killing their puppy.
Seagal has also accompanied Arpaio’s sheriffs in cracking down on illegal immigrants. I guess being a tough guy in the movies is just never enough.
As Sean O’Neal points out, “Here’s hoping that Steven Seagal, puppy-killer, never meets Steven Seagal, guy from Out For Justice, because that dude would be pissed.” Now that would be poetic justice, which is more than we can say for the faux justice Arpaio and Seagal handed out for the TV cameras.
What the fuck?
puppy :(
I wish I was as cool as Steven. He can snap my neck anytime.
You can destroy my home, you can kill my dog, but god forbid you star in another shitty movie.
Mere change to him
Steven Seagal is such a badass.

Pft. Tanks have tracks.
For further understanding of the medias understanding of weapons.
Can someone please explain at what point the police are allowed to let people who aren't police officers drive their tanks on a raid?
Seagal is a police officer. He works as one when he is not off filming.
He even has a tv show similar to COPS.
Sounds like someone got a little cocky.
Having a nice day... BOOM! Steven Seagal burst trough your wall killing your cute little puppy driving a tank.
Sounds like a bad movie.
Well, if he did have a warrant he shouldn't be getting sued. But what ever.
They should be sued for excessive/unreasonable force. I don't care if you have a warrant, driving a tank into a building (which is also terribly irresponsible) and causing thousands of dollars of property damage shouldn't be legal. Not to mention the entire thing was probably just a photo op.
Joe Arpaio completely overkilling and abusing his power to screw things up even more???? Well color me surprised...
Why is he wearing military fatigue? isn't he supposed to be a deputy or pseudo-cop or something? Then again he is using a fucking armored car to chase petty crime haha.
Wow, he seems like a douche trying to get into the military community or something. xD
But seriously, did we need all that manpower for an animal cruelty raid?

Well you are in luck, if you read the article all the way through you'd know that he was
segal killed jesus' dog and drove a tank through his fucking house. Can Chuck Norris please step down.
I had a hard time grasping this the first time I heard it. Reality TV is just weird.
I mean using a TANK and a whole shitload of people to arrest someone for animal cruelty is just hilarious.
driving a tank into jesus's house and killing his puppy.
goddamn if you don't go to hell for that what do you got to hell for?

Homosexual behavior and tax evasion.
You heard it here, folks
Steven Segal drove a TANK into the house of Jesus
Fuck yeah

I know he's being sued for $100k, but the article didn't elaborate on the charges.
And I was saying the police department should be sued as well.
This is only one side of the story, I saw a video that said the guy suing was on parole, getting busted before for cock fighting. It could've been a guard dog. There was other evidence against the guy too
Anyways just saying two sides to the story

Just because he was a suspect doesn't mean the police are legally exempt from excessively damaging his property and killing his dog, and he killed it with the tank so I assume it was accidentally run over or something.
So I guess the police are supposed to be able to see through walls to ensure no more 'puppies' get hit by a 'tank'?
Get real.

No, they're supposed to not drive a tank into a fucking building without knowing what's inside it.

Did the police do it randomly, or was there some sort of action that those who lived there that had caused the reaction?
While I agree it may be overkill, if those involved had not been involved in illegal activity in the first place, and lived their life like anyone else does, none of this would have happened.
Tired of the whole "Yeah I broke the law but I am blaming the police" crap that goes on. Don't break the law and you will typically not have such an interaction with the police. Simple as that.
This isn't the first time this has happened under Joe Arpaio, using tanks and killing dogs is his expertise.
