The White Stripes is a rock band formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1997. The band is made up of Jack White (Vocals, guitar, piano) and Meg White, his ex-wife (drums). Their style is a sort of punk-blues-garage rock sound, and they're pretty damn good at what they do. They became well-known after the release of their albums White Blood Cells and Elephant. Some of their music: Seven Nation Army, probably their best known song Recently, they released a film, Under the Great White Northern Lights, about their 2007 tour in Canada. you should post their discography I don't listen to them that much but when I do I like it.
Meg White is hot IMO.
Jack White is a Legend.
What Guitar does he play? Also like 2 of their songs but that's about it.
What Guitar does he play? Also like 2 of their songs but that's about it.
This one? According to the internet, it's a 64 JB Hutto Montgomery Airline.
les paul in the 2nd pic
its a Gretsch Triple Jet.
De Stijl is an awesome The bleeding slide guitar riffs :iia:
That's the one, never heard of it but it has a short neck it seems.
Yeah, twenty frets instead of twenty-two or twenty-four.
One of my favorite bands. I really love De Stijl, got lots of awesome riffs there. I'm starting to appreciate the raw feeling of their first album though, especially "The big three killed my baby".
you do know meg white has a sex tape lurking around the interent
you do know meg white has a sex tape lurking around the interent
It was fake, wasn't it? I love The White Stripes, I saw Under Great White Northern Lights last week, and a while before that, I saw It Might Get Loud, the guitar documentary with Jack White, Jimmy Page, and The Edge. Both very good documentaries. Can't wait to hear what Jack White's solo album sounds like.
you do know meg white has a sex tape lurking around the interent
She still denies it.
The Black Keys are better.
The Black Keys are better.
I think I speak for a fair portion of people here when I say who the fuck are the black keys?
One of my favourite songs by theirs. To be honest, I think Jack White is fantastic, one of my favourite guitarists, and that the White Stripes and the Raconteurs are two of my favourite bands.
I think I speak for a fair portion of people here when I say who the fuck are the black keys?
I heard them on my White Stripes Pandora station. They were okay, but I preferred the Stripes.
"Blue Orchid" is awesome.
I've only ever really listened to Elephant. I quite like some stuff off of it nowadays. I used to have an unexplainable hatred for The White Stripes.
Meg White is a bad drummer, and I like Jack White's The Dead Weather better. To me, WS just seems like a one-hit wonder band.
Meg White is a bad drummer, and I like Jack White's The Dead Weather better. To me, WS just seems like a one-hit wonder band.
Meg White has rockin tits so itsall' good. She's not a great drummer, but I wouldn't call her bad. One hit wonder? Bullcrap.
Yeah, I wouldn't call White Stripes one hit wonders.
My band played Seven Nation Army in a talent quest at school and we won.
Meg White is a bad drummer, and I like Jack White's The Dead Weather better. To me, WS just seems like a one-hit wonder band.
Meg isn't a bad drummer. Don't get me wrong, she's no John Bonham, but the point of White Stripes music is to have a simple, do-it-yourself feel. She keeps the beat and keeps Jack in line.
Good music, but I like Tweak Bird way better.
I remember playing Seven Nation Army and Fell In Love With a Girl for this school rock thing I was part of last year. SNA was such a simple bassline. I got bored and started tapping octaves during the chorus and solo cuz I felt like it, and pissed off the guy in charge :v:
