Morrowind vs. Oblivion vs. Skyrim - Weapons Comparison

First of all..The weapons comparison consists mostly of long swords. I felt that if I would do all of the weapon types it would take forever to make and the video would be really long..Besides working with morrowind is kind of a pain IMO. Nevertheless, enjoy.
Why no magic comparison with morrowind ? Well...I have no idea how magic works, even after 3 hours of play. Guess I am too retarded to know such things :S

If you're going to be that lazy don't make a video at all.
If you're going to be that lazy don't make a video at all.
jesus calm down. he's done a couple oblivion/skyrim comparisons before. he's not fucking lazy at all.
If you're going to be that lazy don't make a video at all.
How is that being lazy ? I tried to play the game for like 3 hours or so, I ended up running around in some muddy wasteland. Finding barely anything (except for few towns but they didn't have anything to do with magic). After that I just gave up and went to toddtest and shot the video.
Morrowind just has aged too much. I know it's a great game, but as somebody who played oblivion and skyrim it's really hard to get into and well after playing so much skyrim, the melee combat sucks balls in morrowind.
Still even if I am lazy, maybe I wanted to make the video ? Who are you to tell me what I can or can't do.
I really like Oblivion's weapons

When people come to this part of the forums they don't exactly expect some half assed video. Your other video was just fine, it had everything I expected. You compared all of the armors just fine. Here I expected everything to be compared like in your last video, I was sadly mistaken.
Yea you went to toddtest, but you didn't even show all of the weapons, and you even got steel and silver mixed, how could you even mix up those two if you're somebody who played oblivion?
You should re-do the video.
And you complain of morrowind being a pain, stop being a casual.

Yeah but there were like 6-7 armor sets what I compared in the armor comparison.
If I would've compared every weapon I would've had to compare more than 240 weapons.
Seriously, I doubt anyone would be arsed to do that.
Buy me morrowind and I'm up to the challenge. ( I lost my CD's a few years back )

You think skyrim isn't that big a step up form oblivion graphics wise... but those final shots are absolutely stunning in skyrim.
dont leave weapons lying around
Also it looks like you kept putting the one-handed versions of swords for Skyrim rather than the two-handed versions as in Morrowind and Oblivion.
Actually, the versions in Morrowind or Oblivion are sometimes one-handed too but doesn't match the versions of the other games still.

All of the weapons were long swords, other than the dwarven dagger.
Morrowind had Shurikens made out of bones/glass/silver...and they could explode in various flavors of lightning. Morrowing is the winner, hands down.

Yeah agreed, morrowind seems to have more variety in weapons. Morrowind also has crossbows and spears, what aren't in oblivion or skyrim.
Too bad Morrowind had the most annoying combat system.

*Constantly hit a target for a minute straight*
* 60% of the hits miss*
I'd understand if the enemy would dodge the attack or block it but there is no animation or anything. It just is weird, apparently it isn't that bad later on but still.

Clearly, you have never played Arena.
And then further on into the future we will be looking back at skyrim
I get the impression in Skyrim most weapon designs are more similar to Morrowind than to Oblivion

You're right I haven't but my point still stands. The combat system is very annoying.

get a load of this guy
You have to press R to ready your hands in morrowind, and then the second slot is your magic. You also have to have the right skill level to cast it.
What About Daggerfall!?

What About Daggerfall!?

What about Arena? Can't forget Redguard, too.

I kinda explain in a post a while back that when you're low in any skill level in Morrowind you're probably not going to be casting that spell or hitting that target,or blocking that sword blow.
Like how are you going to cast a destruction spell when you're skill at is 5? What about not being able to hit that orc because your long/short blade level is 25? This is my idea on it you "train" these skills until you're good at them not hacking and slashing.

If i'm not mistaken, Redguard had only one weapon.
