Far less gritty than the reveal a while ago, I'm really interested, not enough for a xbone but interested

Still not sure why a XB exclusive would go to all platforms and then exclusive again, the titles that MS said were exclusive and then turned out not to be really makes them hard to believe
looking more like the OTT Dead Rising we all know and love.
Hoping it comes to the pc and without windows live.
Looks brownish

I actually don't really mind the more serious gritty look of the world, it just makes it more funny when a spastic retard luchadore comes through and bodyslams all the zombies
Still don't like the atmosphere.
I know it's supposed to make me all dreary and shit but it's Dead Rising.
I want fuck some Zombies shit up without having the atmosphere sucking away my soul subconsciously.
well they really did redeem themselves from the E3 reveal.

To be fair the Intro to the first game had that grim cinematic
Maybe I'm in the minority, but other than what seemed like a slightly boring protagonist (jury's still out on this) and the less colorful setting, Dead Rising's gameplay looked to be pretty much intact from the previous games in the E3 trailer. I was a bit confused when everyone said it was not Dead Rising, it's terrible, etc.
Watch as it comes to PS4 and PC a year or two later.
It looks better than what was shown earlier. Honestly, I'd like a gritty serious zombie game like this, it's just that the title brings certain expectations to the game. If it was called "Flesh-Eaters 2013" or whatever, I don't think I'd be disappointed about the presentation of the game.

The reveal was kinda misleading. A gritty setting + ridiculous stuff they showed adds to comedy value, at least in my opinion.

Oh god I can totally see that voice thing with the kinect being used to fuck with friends.
Holy shit this is actually starting to look good

DR3 is not exactly a million miles away from what we've experienced before in the dead rising universe. Check out Case Zero.
Why didn't they show THIS at E3 instead of killstreaks and tacticool handguns?

"New from 2K Sports, Zombie Murder 2k14!"
I like this teaser way better then the shitty first one they showed. But I'm still not seeing a whole lot of new stuff allot of it looks like they just ripped Dead Rising 2 and added a new lighting engine. I know its still to early for this kinda of shit but it would be nice if they told us something about the character or the new location.
"Every zombie is a [unique] snowflake!"
banana hammock? sold.
the emphasis on guns is not a good sign. the whole point of dead rising 1 was that guns were totally useless, you had to rely more on other weapons and your own hands. that was the fun, tearing through zombies with your bare fists. trapped? spin around in a circle with your arms out, don't plant a bomb or something.
as long as the hand to hand combat is fluid and very effective like the first game, i'm down. although from the wresting snippet in this i'm worried that the hand to hand will be chunky and useless like in dead rising 2, as opposed to arcadey in the first one.
Why is every game developer a pasty white dude trying to look deezed...? :v:
And to you people who are saying the game looks good [b]now[/b], what is wrong with you? You thought a one minute trailer offered everything there is to do in the game? Get real, stop expecting everything out of video games. A lot of you sound like you play these way too much.
Despite the wacky gameplay they showed it still looks off from what I loved about Dead Rising 1 and 2. It's hard to put my finger on it. I guess I want to see more color and more japanese influenced gameplay.
Also kinect? Fuck off.
Hopefully this is a timed exclusive if this turns out to be good.
Looks alright but nowhere near good enough for me to consider an Xbone.
yeah the biggest missing aspect is the japanese influence. franchise needs to be given back to them.
Still looks way too dark, lighting wise.
Why not show the fun stuff at E3 when everyone cares?
And FUCKING HATE IT when developers say something like 'With the Xbox One, we can do so many things...'
Yeah. So can everything else. A PC could have done it years ago if you didn't keep making exclusives and overlooking it, and now the new consoles share the same architecture as a PC, why make an exclusive?
This looks so much better than at announcement. Smartglass gimmicks are shit, but other than that it really doesn't look bad. Normally I'd be throwing a fit about the "killstreak" special finishers, but really that should give you some incentive to kill zombies rather than just evading them like before (though I can imagine better ways to do that, but whatever).
Atmosphere isn't the same, but it doesn't look anywhere near as brown as announcement. I can live with this in fact, as it seems the costumes and stuff are all still there. Gotta say they really improved the feel of the guns too (and they seem to be useful, finally, because while DR is about melee mostly guns should be used rarely due to rarity rather than uselessness). Not worth buying an Xbone over at all, but a PC version wouldn't be bad.
The guy going "Cool! Awesome kill!" was fucking annoying, should have been him getting a sledgehammer to the face.
[editline]21st July 2013[/editline]
If anything I'm worried that the formula won't hold a third time. DR1 was great, DR2 was fun, but it was starting to get repetitive.
Have they explained why Rick is able to call airstrikes?

What we saw with the E3 reveal was a gritty looking environment and art style, a focus on handguns and being tactical, and the ability to call in airstrikes.
Disliking that is completely reasonable and has nothing to do with "playing games too much"
