They got to do something like they did last E3, show some sort of feaster trailer or even progress. I love when devs share the development process.
Not too terribly surprised- pretty much every zelda game has been delayed to an extent. As long as they're keeping up the good work, no one can really complain.
I'd rather they not show anything at E3- based on last year's, they'll have a lot of surprise games to tide us over instead. Helps stop people going "this looks like crap! D:" that I'm already seeing.
To be fair, we're gonna be seeing some starfox for sure.
Aww, shame. I'm not too broken up about it, though - I never really got into Zelda, despite the massive Nintendo fanboy I am; Mario's always been my jam. Still, sucks for those looking forward to it.
That said, I do wonder what they have in store for us this E3. Nintendo's been having pretty good E3s the past few years, and I'm hoping they can keep up the momentum.
As long as they take their time and make something good.
I really love the series, OOT/MM, WW, TP... but I can't see myself spending big on any arbitrary and proprietary gaming platforms in the future, aside from portables.

especially since i'll be saving up for crazy VR stuff
That's pretty disappointing to hear. But hey, if they want to take their time making the game fully polished, then so be it.

this also keeps up with nintendo's trend of releasing a zelda game for an old platform and then the new platform right around the corner
Pretty sure we already knew this. I recall it being talked about when they did that open world trailer how they were going to do it next year as they had Star Fox slated for this year and most of the staff was working on that.
I wonder if this means Nintendo will push the new Star Fox harder to make up for the void this leaves behind.
I just want a nintendo franchise game to be released that isnt a half-assed mario game or a 3DS game....
Wheres the metroid son?
Pretty common for a development of a Zelda title so I'm not that surprised to be honest
Not even a video or a mountain or anything? That's bullshit
The game looked pretty amazing so I think I'm willing to wait.

Well, I mean, Duke Nukem Forever v:v:v
In all seriousness though, I hope they really put their all into this. The Wii U is really having a hard time, even the Xbox one is already way past it in sales despite being out for a year less
I dont think its too bad that they're not showing it. I mean we still have future directs to look forward to and I'm sure they'll show it off in a fall edition one.

devs that show development progress usually get way more respect from what I've seen

Another 300+ hours would definitely help occupy my Zelda hunger for a while.
pretty sure every 3D zelda game has been delayed like this. it's to be expected
I don't mind it being delayed, or not seeing anything of it, but maybe just a name or something would be nice.
