The one who wins will dictate the terms to the opposite side,” Plotnitsky said. The LPR head suggests that the Ukrainian president should pick the venue for the duel himself and also offers him to select the weapon.
http://en.itar-tass.com/world/760475 [editline]20th November 2014[/editline] http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2014/11/ukraine-president-challenged-to-a-duel-Luhansk-Peoples-Republic/382971/
How about boxing and how about he challenges the mayor of Kiev? That'd be fun to watch.
Honestly, this is how politics should work these days. Hell could you imagine how much more entertaining US politics would be with flintlock duels again?
I am seriously disappointed at the lack of children's card games in this thread.
I guess it makes sense that this rebel would adhere to 19th Century ideals.
I'd be completely cool with politicians having to box each other in the senate during debates. That'd be pretty badass. So would flintlocks.. but I feel boxing would be significantly more awesome.
Oh fuck, that would be amazing to watch. They go at each other MMA style, and just beat the ever living shit out of each other. Also another thing: The guy is actually offering Poroshenko to use whatever weapon he pleases. This is one of those things where it could very well end in a boxing match.
snipers at dawn, luhansk can bring their russian crap, we'll bring NATO's finest canadian crack-shots
Also another thing: The guy is actually offering Poroshenko to use whatever weapon he pleases. I wouldn't be surprised if Poroshenko accepts it, then uses it to lure this guy out and bomb the living shit out of him with whatever jets he has handy. It's not very honorable, sure, but honor died years ago. [editline]20th November 2014[/editline]
It'd be awesome. Like a bill's sponsor has to box the oppositions representative and if he wins it gets called to a vote instantly. We might just get more shit done.
At the very least we can increase governmental revenue tenfold. C-SPAN will be worth watching if every time Congress is in session someone has to beat the everloving shit out of someone else. We'll even get Michael Buffer in on it!
What a honorable offer

Novorussia and now this. It's like its the 19th century or something.
I am seriously disappointed at the lack of children's card games in this thread.
The most obscure cards are the most relevant ones.

Poroshenko should do it
Honestly, this is how politics should work these days. Hell could you imagine how much more entertaining US politics would be with flintlock duels again?
Fuck by the end of it you guys might end up with a less retarded government.
Poroshenko should do it
Just out of interest who would you find preferable to Poroshenko? Are there any viable non-corrupt politicians/oligarchs/militia leaders going for government, is it a situation where you need money to run in politics and need corruption for money and connections?

Poroshenko should do it and win
Wait a second. Poroshenko should do it and win
Oh sorry, I assumed you meant for them to duel meant at least one of them would be out of the picture with the possibility of someone better stepping in to head Ukraine. Apologies.
Oh sorry, I assumed you meant for them to duel meant at least one of them would be out of the picture with the possibility of someone better stepping in to head Ukraine. Apologies.
Well, I don't really like Poroshenko, but it really is true that we have no one better at the moment And when else will he get an opportunity to take out one of the rebel leaders?
Well, I don't really like Poroshenko, but it really is true that we have no one better at the moment And when else will he get an opportunity to take out one of the rebel leaders?
I figured there would be no point in killing the rebel leaders. Kill/capture one and another will take his place. Hell if poroshenko really is the best option as you say it would be a waste to risk him in a duel, especially against a guy with a paramilitary background who is probably proficient with various weapons. Whole thing seems like a mess, peacekeepers should be deployed there.

I remember how Saddam Hussein challenged George Bush to a duel. He should have accepted, would have saved other people a lot of grief.

You save the effort of turning around. Just put your arm in a Z and then fire in the direction of your opponent!!
Igor Plotnitsky
That can't be a real name. That sounds like a comic book villain. Like he's Russian AND he's plotting evil things.
