Anyone see Restrepo on NatGeo last night or in the theaters? What did you think of it, if you did?
No
Sounds interesting.
I saw part of it, it was difficult to watch, not because it was bad, but because it was great.

No, but I sure wish I had.
I really want to see this.
I felt really sad and bad when [sp] they were in the fire fight and confused and one of the squads best soldiers got killed and how his friend just broke down in the middle of battle. [/sp]
wrong section brohan
Wish I knew this was airing, looks like it would be fantastic.
No, but that looks really good I'm going to watch it.
Wow, knowing how dangerous it is to go to Korengal Valley, I can't imagine how scary it is to be told that you're being sent to Korengal Valley.
Invite him in and let him play your super nintendo.

Damn, that seems like a pretty sad movie. Definitely gonna buy it or keep an eye out for the Re-run.
all i can think of while in a theater is "boooriinng"
I am pretty sure that there isn't that much action in Afghanistan. I always see the troops sitting out in the desert bored as hell.

Would you rather be bored as hell or be shot at every 5 seconds?

That's Iraq. Afghanistan isn't a desert, and there's always shit to do there
Shit was intense. Saw only about the first 15 mins but damn I would hate to be there.

Wrong thread much
If any of you have Time Warner Cable it's on HD Showcase on demand channel 699.
I just realized how close Torkham is to Korengal. Dad frequently goes there to check up on the Boarder station. He was there last week I think.
:ohdear:

On second look it's not that close, but still.
"This adrenaline driven movie shows what war is truly like in Afghanistan for those soldiers unfortunate enough to call the Korengal Valley home for year long stints. The film crew followed the 173rd Airborne, which was a Company of just 15 Army soldiers whom would need to secure an area of operation, that has seen some of the heaviest combat in all of Operation Enduring Freedom.
It is great how the producers of this documentary focused on one specific company and did not try to bring in other aspects of the war that could take away from the story of this unique situation. The actual story of these troops can take various view points and people can have very different reactions to the daily operations, and overall hell that takes place in a remote warzone outpost with no comforts of home. "
Who the fuck wrote this shit, and why haven't they been fired for their awful language and grammar?
It looks like something my little brother wrote.
Is there a place where I can see this streaming?
Not sure if it's warez, I really hope it isn't seeing as it was on TV the other night. I may just have to wait for the DVD
I saw this in theaters when it was still being shown in only one theater per day. I loved this movie and it was really awesome.
