Here's a little project I found some time ago and I dont know if to continue it or not. I would like to know what do you think about it. From any aspect, technical or anything.
At the start of the video where the main character is sitting down behind the counter, the camera angle makes it look like he doesn't have a neck, this also happens to the wife (?) when she grabs his hand. The animation is a bit...robotic? Basically not as fluid but I've seen worse, it's not too bad and with practice it will look better. Camera angles are pretty good, audio is fine, tho it is a bit weird seeing bodies hit things and no sound is being made, not sure what you can do about that besides using stock sounds. Besides that, it's pretty good. Then there is stuff that you can't really do anything about, it's just the way the game is, since it's 11 years old. Such as graphics and animation, tho if you really want you can try and do all the animation but I personally don't mind. Are you using SFM?
I personally thought the camera angles were meh. They were my biggest gripe with the video. They seemed somewhat amateurish. I can't exactly describe it, but the composition of a lot of the shots were unattractive. I'd say maybe try conveying the whole scene through multiple & varying shots rather than stuffing all of it inside one shot. It results in some unattractive (and somewhat similar) angles. I'd play around with the distance between the subject and the camera- most of the shots are large and encompass the entire scene, and then some. There is a lot of dead/unused space in the shots/angles and it doesn't look appealing. Continue actions between shots so you have someone starting a punch in one shot and then it changes angles during the next shot but the punch is still going, instead of having one punch during one shot then cutting to a kick during the next, and all that (although that is really challenging to accomplish). It gives the sense that there's real motion and fluidity/continuity in the scene instead of feeling like each movement/action made by the characters are started/triggered when the camera changes angles. I'd really just experiment with creating interesting shots and angles. Watch a movie and focus on the camera angles and shots as an example is all I can really suggest. But I'm not trying to say all the angles were like god awful or something. I really liked the angle you used when the citizen was on the ground after tackling the cop. The final bit with the cops coming in was pretty cool too. Other than that, the animation could definitely use some work, needs to be more natural and fluid, not much to say there. It'll get better with experience. Sound design was a bit questionable at times. I think when the cop elbowed the citizen the noise the impact made was the sound effect of an AR2 being shot/fired, and then following that when he kicks the citizen in the stomach, there's no noise at all. Otherwise, I don't have anything else to say. Don't let what I'm saying discourage you or anything, I've never made a video like that before and it does take a lot of effort and time to make one of these videos. I'm saying all this in the hopes that it'll help you improve and all. I'd be interested to see more of your works if you plan to continue.

I know I can't really change graphics of that world, but I find the world really interesting so I don't wanna put this story in any other. And yea I am using SFM for this. :) [editline]14th September 2015[/editline]
I personally thought the camera angles were meh.....
Yes, they seem amateurish cos I am. I was trying my best when I was making that, but it obviously isn't enough. That's why I am really glad for some criticism. I will try to make camera in next part better, trying out things you told me. I will have to read some book about it or something anyway, since it's pretty hard for me to just understand it from movies. I know recent Mad Max had some amazing camera shots and the way scenes were guiding your eyes, but I kinda don't know how to do that stuff yet x) Sound... I didn't notice it until I posted the video... Kick had sound but it was suppose to be more quiet. Problem is once I added music you can't hear it at all. And I had hard time finding good punch sound so I used what I found in half life directory (that elbow hit). I will just do more research in a next one I guess. Anyway, thank you very much for such criticism. As long as its constructive one and not just "Meh, it's shit." all I can be is just grateful. So thank you :)
