I just got the GoPro Hero 2 over the holidays and wanted to make a test video. I was helping a buddy of mine shoot a wedding, so I pulled out the GoPro during the reception and just hit record. Very cool. I've been wanting a GoPro. I want to save up for the new GoPro Hero 3 Black. That thing is basically a small highspeed camera.

The Hero 3 is worth getting, don't get me wrong, but right now its twice the price and about 10% better than its prior model. If you have the money though, just get the Hero 3.
If we're throwing up GoPro videos... here's my brother trying to drift with no coverage on the ground I have a Hero 3 Black by the way, using the suction mount.
Some days I wish I did enough interesting shit to justify buying one of these.

How would you say the Hero 2 stacks up to the Hero 3 White?
How would you say the Hero 2 stacks up to the Hero 3 White?
Technically speaking the H3 is better, but it really just comes down to how much more you are paying for and if you think its worth it. The H3 is lighter, more megapixels, faster photo burst, sharper and improved white balance, as well as built in wi-fi. All of those are improvements, but only slightly. The resolution and frame rate ratios are still the same between the two.

Would be really nice to have the ability to shoot slow motion shots when making videos.

Heh, did this during an event. Memory card screwed up and lost all footage. Not the first time too, the GoPro might have a durable hardware construction but their software is buggy as hell, and their support are like people who are only trained to tell your to blame it on a faulty memory card. I replaced it with a better one, and the problem still comes once a while. I'm not hating on GoPro though, I still love my Hero2 to death but will be upgrading to the Hero 3 Black soon because I am going to need a second camera and it is much more suited for sports.
Cool video, would have been better with a change of music.
Where did you get the Hero 2? I'm not seeing it anywhere less then around 200, and that's the same price as the H3 White.

I got mine long before the release of the Hero 3 so I bought it for the price of the current H3 silver. Im sure you can get a used Hero 2 for cheap somewhere.
what if you catch a dude stealing that when its parked
Thanks for the feedback guys!
