• I tried to microwave a frozen pizza today

So I had a nasty day at work and when I got home I really wanted to eat something but all I know I had in the cupboard was spam, KD, noodles, and cookies. I was getting tired of all three so I decided to see what was in the freezer. Turns out I have some ancient store bought frozen pizza. Okay, that was more like it but I didn't want to heat the fucking oven and wait a half an hour so I thought "Fuck this, I'm going to microwave this bitch". Exhibit A: the Toshiba BrainWave II 750W microwave. Circa 1983. This thing is legendary. It's run all they way down the family tree from my grandparents and it's incredible. Most microwaves have around a cubic foot or so of space inside but this one has nearly three cubic feet co cook in. You can easily cook a decent size turkey in this. Speaking of which, it has presets galore! It has presets for anything from bacon to fucking cake! Anyways, I put the pizza in the microwave.... ...and put twenty minutes on the clock, started her up and went to poke around on google, notably for an episode of "Is it okay to microwave this?" and to search. Apparently someone in the past tried this with less than remarkable results. Anyways, soon the house started to smell of pizza. it was orgasmic. I was minutes away from what I hoped to be the best soggy (at this point I could care less. I would probably eat the ass of a dead hippo. I was THAT hungry.) store-bought pizza in history. The beeper finally went off on the microwave, I rushed to swing open the door and smell they tasty pizza goodness and... ...woah. Also, my glasses fogged up. At first I was unsure if it had risen at all, let alone fully cooked. One thing was for sure: it was hot! Five minutes later I man up enough to get it out of the microwave, off the cardboard plate and onto a proper dinner plate. Turns out that if you let it stand for a bit, it does not get super soggy. The cardboard really absorbs a lot of the water. Anyways, the pizza is awesome! It's not super crispy (the crust at the edges went stale after a few minutes but who really eats that part if it's not stuffed crust?) but it was not warm dough either. It did rise a bit and it was very tasty. :chef: CONCLUSION: If you want to eat slightly soggy pizza that goes stale rather fast, this is TOTALLY for you, otherwise I recommend against it, especially since most people don't own a microwave that's larger than your average PC case.
I always microwave leftover pizza and it's pretty tasty
That looks disgusting... :gonk:
That looks delicious and disgusting at the same time. I want a piece.
Or you could get the pizzas that are supposed to be put in the microwave from frozen. Better yet, you could not buy frozen pizza and make it yourself.
That microwave is badass.
Toshiba made Microwaves?
Put wax paper over it next time so that the water doesn't screw up the heating process. That's how I ruined two pieces of leftover pizza a few days ago.
Ew, olives
Better without green chiles. But other than that looks good. The number one thing I hate about frozen pizzas is how hard the crust is.
I always microwave leftover pizza and it's pretty tasty
Way to read the title or thread, it clearly says frozen, means not already cooked/heated W/E
Funny how the model is "BrainWave"
Dang that's an old Toshiba. It predates Windows. lol.
You said you got tired of "all three".... But you listed four. Which of them are you not tired of, and why not eat that?
Brainwave II huh? Put your brain in it. become :downs:
I wonder why it's called brainwave. :downs:
Thats what an oven is for.
The day I eat a microwaved pizza is the day my oven breaks.
I've always used a toaster oven. Much better.
Fuck, I want pizza now.
I came in here all like I was dissapoint.
Why is your microwave in the laundry room...?
Oven -> microwave. Period. Microwaved pizza tastes like shit.
That's such a sick microwave.
Looks good, I had a bad pizza last night. Pepperoni with extra cheese and pepperoni, it was super salty and oily and I almost died after 1 slice.
fuck I haven't eaten today and this made me really hungry.
so you were going to tell the OP to upgrade to pro cause he exceeded his bandwidth but then you realized this thread was irrelevant to that?
No, just was expecting the microwave to blow up or some shit.
That microwave, outfitted with a parabolic dish of foil, could probably produce a lethal death ray.
It was our last microwave blowing up with food in it that caused the Brainwave to move with me to Vancouver. Actually, I have yet to get any super awesome stories following this big move to vancouver. I'm sure something will happen. I said Iwas tired of three things because you can NEVER get tired of cookies....they just cause a relapse of anal regression if you eat too many of them. Anyways, it's been almost two hours and that I know of, the food poisoning has not immediately hit me.
That microwave, outfitted with a parabolic dish of foil, could probably produce a lethal death ray.
I'll be making a cake in this before I do that but after said cake is made, THEN the world shall bow down to their new master and his brain cooking device! :science:
That looks great for a frozen pizza.
