The campaign, which began on social media on Tuesday afternoon, asks women to post photos of themselves online without make-up, with the hashtag #nomakeupselfie
Cancer Research UK told The Telegraph that it received almost a million unexpected donations yesterday, most of which came in via text message.
This stuff has been all over fb the past couple of days, had no idea it was actually working but it was probably naive of me to think that, wow
They could also save money on makeup removal wipes and just donate money ??????
It's a nice idea, my mom's had cancer twice and I have lost many family members to it so of course I do fully support this, however a lot of girls I see on my facebook are fishing for compliments not only for uploading a makeupless photo but also bragging that they donated to charity

They get their attenctions, CancerResearchUK gets their money. win-win
I actually donated, I saw so many girls on my feed do it, I would feel bad not to. Besides its more like no make up selfie nominations, they publicly call for their friends to do it. It kinda became a fad that's actually cool, because well... You can't say anything bad about raising money for a good cause. They aren't really spreading cancer awareness, just raising money for cancer charity.
