seems better, one thing i hated was watching my dwarf warrior wobble over to an enemy like he's stuck in slo-mo.
Great.
They dumbed down the entire fucking game so now it's pretty much a party based God of War clone.
What the fuck, Bioware?
Lol, wants me back.
They're implying I would ever leave.
Not to mention that the pause and play they thing they added looks fucking useless.
I mean, the main hero plowed through EIGHT FUCKING ENEMIES with ease.

broke my automerge fuck
I'll play it as action thanks. I really care more about the story not the combat. That's what a Bioware game does. Delivers plot, not amazing combat.
The starting character is fixed now and they added the terrible Mass Effect conversation system.
Too much reading and variation for the console kiddies?
Honestly, apart from the more fluid animations this seems like kind of a step back from DA:O's combat. Not to mention the graphics and UI look downgraded, though it isn't a final version obviously. I don't understand why they thought the gameplay required such massive changes though; more people bought Dragon Age than boUght ME2, so people liked what Dragon Age's gameplay was all about. Aren't they at risk of alienating their primary audience here?

The ME conversation system is OK, but why did they feel it was needed in DA2? The fact that Dragon Age was a traditional PC RPG is one of the reasons it sold so well.
It was supposed to be the spiritual successor to the fucking BALDUR'S GATE series.
The first game did fairly well in that regard and now they basically just took a giant step back, fell off of a cliff, and landed on jagged rocks.
I hope it's not like 12 hours long. Dragon Age was a 70 hour epic, something that's a rarity these days, even in RPG circles.
Blah, that looks pretty bland and really watered down from DA1's combat.
Regardless of how good it is, though, I am never buying another Dragon Age. The first one consumed too much of my life already... :saddowns:
Damn it Bioware
I prefer this to DA1, but then again on my PC DA is choppy enough that action RPG is unatemptable.
Also, the game is 13 gigs smaller than DA:O...

Holy shit you cannot be serious right now.

I think he means terrible for this game. It worked in ME but this game had some broader dialogue choices.
Also the only problem I have with this gameplay is that the map looks ridiculously plain and the default character looks really lame.

DAO used the same dialog system fucking Deus Ex had. It's like a decade old system.

nope, it''ll most likely be 1:10th as long with terrible textures

Why fix something that isn't broken?
Why fix something that isn't broken?
Because that's how the game industry works.
2D graphics are fine why fix them if they aren't broken? :downs:

So fucking what?
It's perfect for fantasy RPGs such as this.
The Mass Effect conversation wheel has absolutely no place in the game.
But, maybe it will now since it's obvious that Bioware just turned away from their original audience.
Because that's how the game industry works.

Good point, but i still see no need to switch to the wheel.
You have to remember that this isn't exactly finalized. So stuff about the blandness of the map or boringness of the UI are kind of pointless to comment about because they could have whipped them up really quick so they could make this video.
But honestly, I liked the way DA:O worked combat-wise, but this doesn't bother me. Bioware games are all about the story and characters for me.
I don't like how DA:2 won't really tie in at all to the first game other than the same world (unlike mass effect where the choices mattered in future games), I don't like how it looks a little too outlandish for the world to seem cooler, I don't like the visuals from an art direction and technical standpoint, and I don't like how the character is set in stone from a Mass-effect standpoint.
But implanting 3D graphics is an actual improvement to the industry.
But the wheel is just a unnecessary change to the dragon age series

Honestly, I wish more 2D games were developed nowadays.
New main character resembles Duncan.
Just for the record, this is probably a pre-pre alpha, so comments about how the game looks "bland" and how the graphics are "worse" are just fucking retarded.
Garbage. Going to go play some BG2 or some other work of art by bioware.
Just looking at the interface alone I can tell the depth is going to be about the same as halo. Worthless.
